A full weekend and thats as far as I got. Used windex method to lay over bottom piece a full 2" over the maroon, and sllooowwllyy increased heat to full shrink and it turned out beautifully.- IMAC FANATIC

Second the tin snips ! Tried everything on lexan, tin snips cut cleanest. Cant seem to find it but I cut a groove in a wood block both sides and sticky back sandpaper lined it, rounded and sanded the edges quite well, small block, like inch by inch half , one side 180 other side had 400 to...- IMAC FANATIC

Heres the chains, OSH off a bulk roll. Small split rings attach them. Tiny bit loose in this pic but its been adjusted since. Awesome scale look and still very light, lighter than tubing believe it or not. BTW the Krill Sukhoi this is attached to is for sale now. Belongs to Dave.- IMAC FANATIC

Heres a shot of the tail wheel and tiller, tiller was hand made and polished aluminium and the tail wheel brackets were made for the JnJ arm. No hardware yet on this one.- IMAC FANATIC

The biggest part to the tail wheel springs is the geometry, the tail wheel horn and bracket that drive it need to be equal lenght to be driven equally, I use those double springs and tiny chains to keep a scale look, no pics of it on my phone, ill try to remember tomorrow. Exactly the plan, fill the small gap with bondo and paint up the canopy maybe 3/8" . Mine would have been allt easier had I thought it out before building the hatch, I had the brain storm after the fact. The canopy isnt recessed, but it is fiberglassed in 1/4" over the shell and all the way to nose of hatch, the edges where it curves to the top plate are recessed slightly into the balsa, I built it up from underneath and sanded a groove into it so it sits a lil more flush. I didn't or don't notice any adhesion differences on using hairspray on exterior, but the overall smoothness of the balsa after sanding to400 grit was quite better than without for sure.ots worth doing some test pieces with and without.- IMAC FANATIC

The kit comes with suggested control surface sizes, you have to cut them out yourself, and counterbalance for rudder and ailerons, I choose not to use themc the balances, for precision, but, my friend Matt has the same kit with counter balances on every surface with huge throws and he's winning...- IMAC FANATIC
