The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Looking super good snoop! Now you don't have to stuff a bunch of junk in the wings like ARF profiles. Super job! Thanks so much......You know I only "usually" catch a compliment on my Cheeseburgers . Back at the ranch...... I got the gas tank primed and painted. Once fully dried I...

Wanted Wanted DA-100I or 3W-110iR2 Inline Twin

No It is not so wacky. You probably stand a better chance of finding a 3W110 inline used. Especially with @stangflyer in the house.

Thank you fellas. Hope the rest turns out good. I am tempted to cheat and get some stuff at iflytailies.com They have LOTS of great stuff in kit form or assembled. May end up and see if they will sell me just the cub seats out of their kit. The do sell just the seats but the ones in the cockpit...

Got the Cub dash completed tonight and sitting in place but not permanently installed yet. Still have some black out work to do up front. I think it is turning out decent :). I was really worried. My fingerprint and glue smudges normally end up in this kind of work .

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I rattled a couple of paint cans and got back to work on the Cub dash. I also went ahead and bought a Walbro carb from VVRC for the 26cc Cub motor. The DLE 60 carb ran the motor ok but boy it really sucks down the fuel. I decided to go with red dial rings because the interior is REALLY red now...

Can you use off the shelf motors/props and simple flight controllers and not have to use an inductrix? Those really look like a hoot to play with :).

Were not going anywhere Rob. Hang in there. Don't let it become a Chore. It gets done when it gets done. That's how I feel about it these days.

Personally......IMHO we have surpassed the "Plateau". "It has to thrill ya or try to kill ya" to keep peoples interest/attention and we have seen everything a GS plane can do and all the cool goodies that make it happen. I Guess there will always be them "Cool Dudes" and "Cute Chicks" though ;)

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I have always had a 16 -18 oz tank in all my 50/60 and even 70cc planes. 10 minute hard flying but throttle management. Full power on up lines and where needed to get a maneuver in. Hovering and low and slow takes only 1/2 throttle or less. Always had at least a quarter of a tank or more when...

@Bartman If it's 45" span don't think it's a proto but regular production. If it helps ......the year I saw him and the plane at Perry was either 2002 or 2003. Found this vid from 11 years ago......Seems about right
