    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

Older beauty just takes longer to get the "make up" on. That's all. At least it does not "horde" the bathroom!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I think (HOPE) once everything is in it won't stand out as an incorrect trim handle but its close enough for a Sig. Got the throttle control housings, engine choke control and carb heat escutcheon's "cut, trimmed, formed and sanded" Even got em painted! All that and they are still not finished...

Sounds like you need a good "incidence" meter. Always enjoyed the Robart meter. Have had it for over 28 years now and just as accurate since it was new.

Had to improvise on the inside door handle and trim lever. Not included in the kit I got. Trim lever will get some additional work and will look a bit more authentic. Digging through all my junk to find just the right things. I decided to go forward with the seats in the kit and hack em to fit...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Think we might need a "I'm Going Out Taxing" thread.....Wind just did not cooperate today :(. Pretty gusty (20+) for a Cub. So around the back yard and airplane noises will have to do :dancing-poop:.

Discussion Giant RC Pan Am DC-3 Auction, DC Area Maybe?

It is definitely an auction site. Wonder the premises??? Stolen recovered goods? Bankrupt business? Have some really nice looking items. If I knew more about it I might throw down on that Cap 232. Looks like a "blind" auction. Import confiscations? Duty owed? who knows!

Zooming right along :on_the_go:. Do you think a 40 twin would be a bit much??? My Cub weighs 16 pounds and a 26cc motor going to haul it fine.

Thanks Mike. I just finished programming a 7 point curve while watching the video. Will check it out and make any fine tuning to it once I get it to the runway tomorrow. Was thinking if I had the new iX12 I could watch the vid on it and make the adjustments o_O lol

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Got it outside and ran the engine. Tuned up nice and it turns the 18x8 very well. Need to add throttle curve to make it act a bit more linear. The VVRC/Walbro carb for the DLE 30/35 really helped take the "peaky lean" midrange out with out guzzling down the sauce. From the short time I was able...

Got the new Falcon prop drilled and installed. Had to make a bushing to adapt the 10mm hole in the prop to the 8mm motor shaft. Taking it out side today to put a tune on the new carb. :yesss: I did start it in the shop first lol. Sunday is supposed to be nice so I think it will "re-maiden" then :).

Wanted Wanted DA-100I or 3W-110iR2 Inline Twin

CS stands for Competition Series. 3W offers up different versions of the same motor. Used to be called QQ series for Somenzini believe it or not. Boils down to a bit higher compression ratio, hand balanced crankshaft and pistons.
