Fort Smith Arkansas Fly Low In Sept. 19-22

Hi Tom, does the field there have power available to it? Or should we bring generators for the event?

I expect that would be a different header since Daniel's was on a DA60.

The tradeoff there of course is the wide range of battery placements that the e-version allows for. Which is nice as it lets us run all manner of power systems in it. All that said, the trend lately is for bigger motors and more power and I'd wager than the majority of setups lately have the...

I think it's in between. But with the extra bearing it can swing a larger diameter prop I believe. The design is more like that of the 4325 too, longer can, rather than the short and wide design like the 5320 is.

+1, I've got one in my 71" Slick and love the 4330.

Been there... my field is 23 miles from my house each way. I've left my tx at home, left the wing tube at home once, left the wings behind once, left the glow fuel behind once (4-5 years back), sucks.

Have you tried that stuff in the post above this one? I've used Acetone too... I'll pay the price for the debonder. The time savings is well worth it. The debonder works MUCH faster and better.

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

my problems are in getting to the strap, and fastening it around the battery. Dang thing always falls down and then I have to yank the whole battery out again to get to the end of it. Or it gets tucked just so behind the battery plug wire, and I have to pull the battery out. Drives me crazy...

I would like the byper a lot more in a larger size. My chief complaint is the difficulty in battery changes. A little more room in the fuse would be super nice. Otherwise, yes it flies like other bipes. Better than them I think, but a bipe will never fly as good as monoplane. But some just...

    78'' Extra

That's the one I want. But I also want a 30-35cc gas plane, and I want it now of course! Been a long few weeks at work and I feel like I need to reward myself. Then when the MXS comes out someday I would likely sell the Extra and move all the gear over to the MXS I think. stick 1 of the power...

    78'' Extra

If channels 8 and 9 are just for power, why not use a Y harness on them, and plug the power into one side, then you still have one or both channels for something else, like the smoke pump? by the way, I really want to hear how you like the pipe compared to your current setup. Pricy things...

couldn't agree more. Funny how absolutely critical they make those years seem though. Do this for college, do that, it looks good on your transcript, blah blah. I think for the vast majority of people having a degree from nearly any college is sufficient to get a decent job. The top 5% that...

just one correction - the 8fg being faster has much more to do with it's processor being faster than the dsm2/dsmx protocol. You mentioned it was faster than dsm2/dsmx. I would say it is faster than your dx6 was. Not than dsm2/dsmx. Your old radio was slow. There are many other radios out there...

Altitude Hobbies Hosted ZTW ESC discussion/ Q & A thread

Yep. reinforce the capacitors on it though. I had one fall off. Replaced it and the ESC is still going strong. I used shoe goo all around them. Welders glue will work too. I ran mine with 4 hitec HS-7245 HV Digitals with no problems.

Good trade Gyro! You need more time on a Velox anyways, it's one of my favorite planes. I love my 71 Slick too, but damn I REALLY like the Velox!
