    Battery Charger Recommendation

All I fly are A123s so my input probably wouldn't matter. I use a Cellpro Multi 4, have had it for 5 years and not one problem and it will charge anything.---Smitty

Are you going to register with the FAA? Cast Your Vote!

I don't like the idea of the FAA putting their nose in our hobby, but I will register. Just like someone on GiantScaleNews said police could have a field day writing tickets on this law. What I really think should happen is any company or store selling drones, quads or whatever you want to call...

Here are some picture of the progress on my Sukhoi. I did a really nice job on the tail wheel and rudder hookup. I still have to seal the hinge line on the rudder and ailerons. Its getting there.--Smitty

Thanks Terry. I am in Tyler, Tx. and we have hot and humid days so I guess I will go lower pitch for the spool up. I was talking to Richard at WrongWay RC and he was talking about some of the PAU props that he has, they are wood. that have been working good on his GP-60. Here are a couple of...

Starting to look like a plane. I will hinge the wing tomorrow. Ordered my batteries and switches today. What prop are you guys that have the DLE-61 in this plane using. I am thinking a Falcon CF 24-9.---Smitty

    Ordered my Su-26

Today was a good day in the building of the Sukhoi. I opened all the servo holes and hinged the stab and elevators and rudder. Tomorrow I will get all the tape off. Do any of you guys that have built this plane remember how long of extensions you used on the servos in the stab. Think I am going...

On a different note, today I opened all the holes in the covering for the stab tube , rudder cables, locater pins, side windows and the bolts holes to hold the canopy and stab on. I borrowed the little trick from Tseres with the side windows which is cut the covering a little smaller and seal it...

    Hello from Roswell, New Mexico

I know when I was stationed at Walker A.F.B. in Roswell from 1961-65 the talk then was they were real. Most of the people that were in Roswell when it occurred were still there and it was only like 12 - 13 years after it happened. I met a girl whose father was the one that did the autopsy and he...

I noticed on the pushrod connectors that just screw in to the control horn with no lock nut of any kind. Do you guys just use loctite on them or do you replace them with longer screws and put locknuts on the backside. I sure like the locknut for that double security.---Smitty

@TerryCustom, how about a laser cut glue caddy kit?!

I don't remember them being very expensive when I bought a hand full from Lowe's. But then again sometimes I don't look at the price when I have a need, one of my many shortcomings.---Smitty

Going to work on the Sukhoi today. Will be opening all the holes in the covering and opening the servo mounting holes. Love the idea of a hole punch in masking tape for hinging. Will go get one and some more wax paper.---Smitty

I am going to ask a dumb question. What is the advantage of using a offset rudder arm, I don't see where it let you get more throw out of the arm.---Smitty

@TerryCustom, how about a laser cut glue caddy kit?!

Seems like you could make on out foam, just use a hobby knife to cut out holes for all the stuff. I do like the looks of the one in the picture and to have a handle would be a big plus.---Smitty

Thanks for the info and advice. I normally use toothpicks to pin the firewall, but I do like your idea about CF dowels, I think I will go in that direction. I will keep you posted.--Smitty

One of the bad things with me is I live in a 39 ft. 5th wheel and have my planes in a storage unit so I have to wait until it warms up to go work on the, if it stays cold then I don't work on them.---Smitty

Bill, I haven't gone far enough to mount the rudder servo yet. Today I was planning on opening the holes in the covering for the stab tube and locater pins and servo arms in the stab and wings. I flew yesterday, temp in high 6os , very little wind with a bright sunny day. I may go fly again...

Not trying to bash at all. I will say this, it is the best covering job I have ever seen on a ARF. The plane is great looking in the box, can't wait to get it together. Going to order my decal package today. How long of extensions did ya'll use on the elevator servos.---Smitty
