The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread
Boy that's a tough one with the location of the cowl opening. Normally you'd bring the air in the top and force it down through all four cylinders. With the air coming in below center I'm not sure the standard top and bottom split can work. I know it's a really bad pun, but that one is baffling.- Jetpainter

The Extra actually made it into the shop today. I worked on the throttle arm, servo, and linkage. I flipped the stock DA arm over so it pointed down. I stole @Terryscustom s fix for that using a ball link spacer. I also did something similar so I could put the choke rod on the opposite side for...- Jetpainter

It took a lot of flips to get it to prime since it hadn't ran in over two years, but once it started and I richened the top end up a bit it ran beautifully. :) I also ordered some new aileron extensions for it. The first landing is always exciting since you don't really know what the airplane wants. I'm guessing because of the high wing loading it will want the long smooth low approach.
