I pulled right below 900W on my wattmeter when I spun up an identical motor a couple of days ago. Then again, wattmeters are known to not always be reliable, so who knows? The comparison with the 4315 may or may not be 100% relevant, but it's a bit of a hint on what a similar Kv motor would pull...

With a 14x7 you should be in the 900W (60A) range. 15x8 sounds like way too much. 15x7 should put you at maybe 1100-1200W (73-80A). My 58" Edge pulls 1200W (80A) with a 4315 714Kv and a 15x7. Since the Kv for the 3615 is a bit higher, you may actually pull even more than that. I know people who...

Back from the maiden. This is from my third flight (thanks for snapping the pics, Josh). What's my prognosis?

100 flights? Didn't you get that plane pretty recently? You must have a life outside of work and kids. How does that feel? :)

    DLE 30 nib LPU

I don't think there's a good answer other than "get a paypal account", unfortunately. The fact that it has buyer and seller protection built in makes it superior to anything else. The only other alternative would be to use a 3rd party escrow service, but that's kind of a pain.

Be that as it may, but it kept the pieces of my motor box contained within the fuse. :)

The previous owner didn't have it and told me it wasn't needed. So I didn't bother to cut one.

The number one benefit of not having a vent in the fuse: I was able to find every single little splinter!

I finally got a chance to open up the cowl and have a look. Fixable or total loss? I'm leaning towards fixable. It's basically a clean break and I think I have all the pieces. I'll probably line the broken truss braces with CF-strips.

Actually, the weekend looks great. 75-80F, mostly sunny, 5-15 mph. But apparently I'm supposed to be with the family on Father's Day. Penny asked me what I wanted, but "to be left alone for a day" apparently wasn't an appropriate Father's Day gift...
