    74" Edge 540

I also look at the future use of my purchase because let's be honest, airframes are disposable in the ARF age. The Badger is a cost effective good solution. Mine is currently in the plane my 10cc motor ended up in, a H9 Ultrastick 40 with 7 servos.

How do you like the H9 sukhoi? I keep waiting for horizon to fire sale it like they are doing on the 3.1m version.

    74" Edge 540

Yes, the tech aero is something like triple filtered for EM issues. The Badger is a good product for one battery and dual inputs into the RX. I like running dual batteries so that leads me to use the Wolverine. I use 2x 2s 1300s instead of one 2600.

    74" Edge 540

Most anything from smart fly is a good product electrically. I just don't like having a separate battery for the ignition when it uses so little relative to my powersafe electrical system. Less weight and complexity. Just a personal preference.

    78'' Extra

We use a 5S 5300 I bought for a a Osiris I never used. That little Kavan works real well though. Planetary gearing gives it that extra oomph over regular glow starters. I bought a second one for the trailer.

    74" Edge 540

If Gyro did not clear it up here are some basics. HV servos are designed to run unregulated which is the advantage of using them In a model this big you want some RX power redundancy. For me it is either a Powersafe RX, Wolverine switch from Fromeco, or a Smart Fly product. These all...

    78'' Extra

I have this wonderful Kavan starter that is the size of a standard glow starter, has a optional battery compartment that I modified to fit a 4S 4000 lipo, and it can start some 50cc motors! The EME-60 finally smoked it one day and has been rebuilt, but it is more than a match for the 40 twin...

    74" Edge 540

That seems off. The VVRC 40 twin is 44 ounces AUW and is a proven performer with 21" size props. Since it is both cheaper, proven, and well supported I would go with that motor. My crew is hitting WRAM on Friday. Beat the crowd and weekend craziness. Don't be surprised if there is not a...

    74" Edge 540

My VVRC is in a 78 Extra. I had a Mintor 38 with a proflow in my 74 with a push pull rudder. My new 74 is sitting in a box waiting for something to happen in my 30cc fleet. I have 2 GT33s in other planes and a A60-6XS laying around. This seems to be the year of the 60cc for me as I have 3 of...

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

I ordered a planebender smooth pipe for my DA-60 that is going into this plane. I am going to give that combo a try. I am leaning towards getting a DA-70 for my 89 slick. I already have the airframe and servos, but I do see the point that for almost $900 you can get yourself on the way to a...

    74" Edge 540

I run a 16oz tank with my twin. It is a bit more thirsty than the GT33. GT33 pros are excellent throttle curve and response and noise level is much lower. VVRC 40 twin spins bigger prop, smoother, and has quicker spool up.

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

THE DLE-60 twin performance and weight don't seem to lend itself well to 3D. I have seen people using 22" props on them in the forums and they don't seem to match the performance of the DLE-55. 1.9 kilos versus 1.5 kilos with close to the same rated horsepower. I love twins. I have been...

    78'' Extra

The ones I have I think barely fit the pants. I chose to not use the pants as they just get so beat up in the grass we fly off of and they were pretty enough to look ok without them. Also saves a tiny bit of weight.

    30cc and 60cc airframes

I have the 88 EF Edge and flew it all last season. I have a 92 waiting to be assembled. From what I have seen and heard I would pick the 92 if you are set on a Edge. The pilot would be my second choice for a light setup. I have not just not synced as much as I would like with my 88.

I upgraded my wheels to 3.5" ones I got from taildragger RC. I don't think they stock them anymore though.

    30cc and 60cc airframes

No split cowl on the Pilot. Split cowls are not as common on 30% as on bigger sizes. The easiest cowling I have is the one on the EF 104 Extra as it has all of three bolts. My 88 EF Edge is not too bad with 4 tabs, but it is not as robust as other designs. The 89 Slick is plain painful as...

    30cc and 60cc airframes

My DA-60 had to go back to DA and had seal issues from the start. DA fixed it for nothing. You pay for quality and outstanding service. Luckily if you buy a DLE from VVRC, they take good care of you. Performance wise, from our testing this past season the EME-60 is just about equal to...

He has this scheme http://www.chiefaircraft.com/prc-edge30-d.html The green turns to black at a distance. That one with the majority white would probably be fine.

    30cc and 60cc airframes

My buddy Patrick has this 30% Edge. Don't get the Green scheme as it is hard to see. He is going to recover the bottom of the wing after trying other things all season. His is 17lbs with a EME-60 and it flies very well. On the same day I got to fly ghoffman 's 91 Extra, my EF 88" Edge...

    74" Edge 540

I have 5565s in 3 30cc airframes, 2 of them gassers. They are a wonderful 30cc servo. 5585s give you a little more torque and are a fine choice as well. I personally liked my 74 edge when I put 7955s into it. Those surfaces are pretty big on this plane.
