    60" Laser-EXP

I got my threads mixed up. This is the 78 extra I am talking about.

    60" Laser-EXP

I am slacking even more. Mine showed up weeks ago with the laser and it is still in the box. The graph tech landing gear finally showed up and I got the heavier layup and man is it stout.

Fort Smith Arkansas Fly Low In Sept. 19-22

On Sunday I will be selling my brand new 60 laser to spare me having to ship the airframe back.

    15cc EF 60" Edge 540T-EXP Gasser

Got a bunch of good flights on it this evening. Played with 4 different props and came back to the 15x4 Xoar. Will probably try one or two more. I am getting 9200 RPM on the ground and a little over 10k in the air which works out to a little under 10lbs of thrust. At the moment the plane...

Fort Smith Arkansas Fly Low In Sept. 19-22

For the jersey FLI they had garage sale items in the trailer that were First Come First Serve. I think this series is why there has not been a garage sale in a long time on the forum.

    15cc EF 60" Edge 540T-EXP Gasser

Cody suggested getting a Perry pump and it was installed this week and ran today. It seems to have solved the fuel delivery problem. It was still hard to tune and we discovered that the low speed needle was rotating itself out so Patrick put some loctite to try to solve the issue. Ran out of...

    Maine Jet Rally 3D Throwdown

This past Saturday 4 local pilots squared off in a fan favorite style competition at the Maine Jet Rally in Sandford Maine. Last year this was the event that was turned into the Horizon Air Meet. I was fortunate enough to get permission to video the contest and my friend Patrick took stills...

    78'' Extra

I had the gears strip in a BLS-156 on my H9 35% Extra 300. Blew the elevators off due to flutter.

    60" Laser-EXP

I took the laser apart today so that I could ship the gear for the FLI. I am going to bring a couple of backup 7245s just in case. Also try the velcro on the second one. I have a lot of planes, almost all with digital servos and these stand out for the shakes. I might also try toning...

Which electrical connector do you prefer, and why?

The club VP had a deans solder joint fail yesterday. Luckily the plane landed in "a golden halo of light" in the corn and only scuffed up his cowling. He is coming over today to be converted to the APP faith. I like bullets too. I use then on the motor side of all my electrics.

    60" Laser-EXP

Well I have the same exact problem with my 5060s and I just called them and they said send them in rather than offering to replace them. I uploaded a video of it. They were even doing it in flight with a little off center in forward flight. I will bring them to the FLI and demonstrate. They are...

Which electrical connector do you prefer, and why?

45A is a rating for 440 volt systems or something like that. Deans are only rated for like 30A or something like that in the commercial electrician guide book. Heli guys use them in 12s 700s with who knows how many amps and there is a 30 minute rant in the one of the RC today show episode from...

Which electrical connector do you prefer, and why?

I use Anderson Power Poles aka Sermos connectors. Heli guys use them in 12s 700 helicopters. For many of us, a crimp connection is better than our soldering skills, but connectors is a religious topic.

    78'' Extra

I have those in my 110 Yak wings and 104 elevators! I think they will work in a 78. I though I was going overkill with 7955TGs. You have a great set of servos for a future 30-35% plane.

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

When the 78 MXS is released I am seriously considering trying out a 12s 3300-4000 setup since I just got some of these batteries for the 60 laser. Better than getting new batts for a 10s 5000 setup. I think the Hacker A60-8S will work for this.

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

I just bought both of these planes. I only have 3 flights on the laser so far and somewhat limited flights on a 78. If you had to just pick one I would do the 78 as bigger always flys better. The 60 fits in a car and if that means you get to fly it more days like after work, then there is...

    Which 60" to buy!?!?

I have 7245s in the ailerons and I am trying the new Spektrum 5060s in the tail. They jitter a lot on the ground trying to find center, but are fine in the air. I have gone all the way up to 12s 5300 setups and I have used a number of seperate BECs. In my 51 slick I had to, as there was not...

    Which 60" to buy!?!?

The Torque V2 motor is great. I personally run almost all HV servo setups and I went with the new Gecko 85A ESC in the Laser and I am running the servos at 8.4V. I put the Airboss in something else with regular mini servos. If you are running 5245s or Spektrum 5040s, then the power combo can...
