Tru-Turn 2.75" "Turbo Cool" electric. Very light weight and it does pull air and pushes it at the motor. Back plate has special slotting acting like a turbine fan.

Thanks. Good to be back. Yes the pants and landing gear are pretty sturdy and fairly light weight. The wheel pant halves fit was a bit off and visual seams can be seen because of it. Was going to fill and repaint but decided why add weight? It seems to be turning out to be a good looking foamy...

Just got to finish up the wings and stabs/ctrl surf's....Ordered the EZ-Coat to fix my boo boo....Played with it to see again that the power and prop size are going to be perfect for 3D:). Wings not on but a size comparison with the QQ300 (42"vs 48"). I think this is going to be a FUN plane :).

Got the fuse glued together last night but this afternoon was disappointing when I removed the blue painters masking tape :concern:. It pulled up some of the black paint (easy fix) but also pulled the protective sheath that skins the EPP foam :frown:. If I knew this was going to happen I would...

With the SRXL serial bus DSMX remotes plug in to the "A" serial port of the Aura 8. There are two of these ports marked A and B. You would plug a bind plug in to servo port S8 of the Aura 8 for the binding process. The remote supports up to 8 channels with intermediate range capability which is...

Been Futaba all my life but have tried the "strange" and "un-usual" China radio's (ie TGY i-10) with success. But I had sold all my radios and am currently rebounding. I have given The DX-8 Gen 2 a chance. Flying a QQ300 with it and soon a RockStar Bipe and a 50cc Pilot Extra 330. Speed control...

If you don't have to run cans I recommend keeping it as light as possible. My old 104 (Raiko's new 104) is a totally different bird. I was at 28.5 pounds and now it is 26.5 pounds! and flies much better with the reduced wing loading.;)

Finished the landing gear this evening and got a nice coat of red paint on the tru turn spinner. Matches very close! To simplify I cut out the English assembly transcript and all diagrams. Made it a lot easier to get this thing going and what part goes where. I am using Gorilla's new clear...
