The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread
A guy I fly with here makes his own rocket engines. They are hit or miss sometimes as the packing is hard and there isn't any gas to pop a parachute out later. but it's pretty neat. I think he uses stump killer that has potassium nitrate and mixes it with something.- AKNick

Nice maiden!! One take off and landing complete!! You are probably overheating on the ground. You should tune it and fly to break it in properly. Only the little gas engines (20cc<)and nitro engines need a ground break in. Usually it would be hard to start if it got too hot and leaned out on...- AKNick

The Timber Tail is a lot heavier. I originally made a TW fork with a 2.25" sullivan tire and it sank in the sand, it pivoted great though. Nice! What tire is that? If you don’t use ball links, to make the Wire not dig into the plastic be sure to sleeve it with some brass tubing or something. 91" SkyWing ARS 300 Assembly Thread
Had a few paragliders stop by to visit! Cylinders never went over 340! Stayed 275 most the time unless I was wide open. Right cylinder was about 20deg higher. Much closer now. My air dam V2 worked well. Notice it actually deflected the exhaust residue as well.- AKNick

3DHS 75" EDGE 540 V2 Assembly Thread
Got a couple flights in! Had some tubing issues but resolved with going back to basics and retune. One click of aileron. One click of up elevator. I’ll need to recheck my trims to see where they were before 45 inverted was pretty neutral with the nose leveling off a tiny bit. Tail doesn’t drop...- AKNick
