Ok, so those numbers you were asking for and I promised. Funny thing is this, when I first started flying I was dead set on getting the biggest and most mah battery I could find for those glow (shudder) planes. Now mind you, standard servos that were not digital, one per surface and I was...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Not sure on the power difference. From what I have experienced first hand with the DLE 111, it is an "AMAZING" little engine. On my PAU Extra, the 111 v3 was turning a 28x10 Falcon at 6600 static. This was with MTW 75 canisters and MTW 50mm drop headers. The 111 v3 on my first Pilot Edge was not...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Off with the Chinese Economy class twin.... And on with the Superior German Engineered Red Head. And how about a little ignition system to make them NGK's sparkle? I have to order the headers, canisters and a 90 degree velocity stack for the dub twin. So I will put it off to the side and...

As promised, a few photos from last nights progress. Not much, but every little bit gets it that much closer. Holes drilled and blind nuts installed to attach the J and J tail wheel assembly. A little blue Loctite to hold them suckers from vibrating loose. (Not that the "dub" 4 banger is much of...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

There is a lot to be said about assembling/building an identical twin to a previous airframe. Man, talk about fast and way too easy. Heck, I bet even my four legged co-pilot could do what I have done tonight. Pretty quick progress. At this rate, I will have this thing done and waiting for the...

    CRRC GP50R

So far be it for me to tell a pal what to do...but, "WHAT ARE YOU THINKING"? Umm, ever hear of 3w? Hee hee.....just kidding Kelly. I almost bought a CRRC many moons back when I first started into gas. I had read some reviews and they were not at all promising. So I steered clear from it and went...

Thank you. I like it. For me however, it is more than the looks that I enjoy. Remember all those loose harnesses that could get tied up in servos, pulled free from the receiver then a total loss of an airplane? I sure do. Never happened to me because I tried diligently to keep them away from...

Trust and believe, all those red heads (dubs) are full of fire. Dang...not happy to hear that. But that's ok. Cuz, the red head for the Edge has led a sheltered life. Never before difiled by hand or gasoline.

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

A little progress tonight. Besides the harnesses all being "snakeskined", I made up two side fuselage plates for the stab/elevator servo harnesses. Strung the left side Elevator servo harnesses and glued the plate into the fuselage. I have decided against building rudder servo bays in...
