The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Nothing worse than having to fix other peoples bad work. One of my customers bought a freshly restored 68 Chevy II (Nova) Super Sport with it's original 375hp 396 4 speed. It looked like a beautiful car for the first few months, then it started getting blisters in the paint all over the car...

    330LX Help

That is the way I have my Carf Extra setup, but the Edge is so much fun to fly where the CG is that I've never changed it.

    330LX Help

My Edge does exactly that. It will climb out of a 45 degree inverted upline, but flies level hands off inverted.

    Pilot RC owners thread

With a DA50 and a can I ended up making a tray and mounting them on the rear of the can tunnel. It's a tad tail heavy there, but I love how it flies. It's neutral when inverted, but has zero bad habits.

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

No Terry just posted a picture of one he made in a thread about his PAU Extra 330SC.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

No work in my shop today but I went to my friend Tony's place and helped him do some planning on where to mount all of the radio gear for a good clean install in his new Comp ARF 120cc Extra 330SC. We also worked with programming the Booma Intelimatch IM22. Tony is a great builder, but isn't...

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

I did the top sides this afternoon. Same technique as I used on the fuselage. Z-Poxy finishing resin and .5 ounce glass cloth. I still need to do the outboard ends and then sand everything and give it all a second coat of resin.

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

I'm a couple weeks late, but I finally did start glassing the stabs yesterday. Today I'm planning on doing the tops.

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

Nice! I sucked at it. I could run in second with no problem, but as soon as I got in the lead that invisible hand would grab me around the throat and I'd crash.

    70cc PAU Extra 300SP build...

A cheap soldering iron is a great tool to have around for all sorts of things. I have one I made several different tips for for things like removing Robart style hinges and heating up Loctited bolts in my helicopters. I also have some tips for making a flush rivets. And nothing beats a cheap...

    Stabilizer Design Discussion.

Keeping it light to avoid it being tail heavy could be an issue as well.

Solid Robart like wheels with smooth hubcaps?

Any way to put the tires from the Skylites onto the Robart hub? The Skylites with the aluminum hubcaps just bolt together, and the Skylite tires are awesome.

    Wing bolt idea

I used JB Weld on the studs on mine. The Chinese blind nuts in the wing were pretty sloppy.
