    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

A friend of mine and I used to do that to each other ever time we saw each other at the field. "Hey mister how fast is that thing? How far will it go? I Bet that's expensive? My uncle used to fly one just like that!

Krill Extra 330 LX building thread

Thanks for posting that, it gives me some great ideas for fixing a slightly sloppy stab on my Carf Extra.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I just got back from the field. The wind was rediculous. I did get one flight in and beat the snot out of my Comp ARF Extra 330. You really shouldn't be that mean to a 10 year old airplane, but that is what they're for.;) Since the wind was bad I spent the whole flight trying different ways to...

    ES composite pipes

For what it's worth, one of the guys in the club is using an ES Composite pipe that came off on the first flight. He ran a screw through the clamp and into the pipe and hasn't had a problem since.

    ES composite pipes

I've used the TBM mount and I really like it. The last time I checked they didn't have any of the silicone O-rings, but I found some a McMaster Carr if you ever need any.

That sucks. Hopefully you'll get it squared away and get that thing in the air!

No more desperate than me, my physical therapist has me wrapped up with a less stretchy version of an ACE bandage from my toes to above the knee on both legs, and I still planning to go flying on Sunday if Mother Nature cooperates. You gotta do what you gotta do.

I have a 2 foot long 3/4" dowel that has short section of pipe insulation with sandpaper glued to it. The padding from the pipe insulation makes the sandpaper work more evenly.

I run the screw through the clamp in the cutouts. Check out the mystery dents in the front of the can in the one pic. I have no idea where they came from.

What is the max number of channels generally needed for giant scale?

You can also use one Booma RC IM22 instead of two Matchboxes.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

No doubt about the glow nastiness. Once I switched to gas I haven't looked back. Yesterday cleaning my Comp ARF Extra after a day of flying consisted of cleaning the bugs off the prop, that was all. I'm just too lazy for glow now. But I still don't rule out another 61 tuned pipe screaming...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Just got back from the field. What a wonderful day for November! Sunny, mid 50's, with about a 4mph wind. And of course, even though we have over a hundred members it was the same 4 guys flying, just like every Sunday. I flew my Comp ARF Extra 330 again today. I can't believe before a few...

I like to use servo screws so you can use a ball driver.
