Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

Just a little tinkering tonight with the Pitts. I just kind threw together a landing gear cover. It needs a little more work, sanding and refining. I just have not decided but I may or may not choose to use it. I really wish I had buried the gear deeper in the fuse like @Maxwell1945 I am...

It is still available through B & E. Just go to their website, find the graphic and enter the size you need. Mine needing to be 6.8", it came out to 11 bucks. Oh and just send a 4x4 to West Wings. Easier that way

Just spoke to Richard at Wings West. Nice guy. 25.00 per rattle can or bottle. Will mix any color you like. Either send him a 4"x4" swatch of your covrering, or supply him with a covering number. He will order in the covering and match the paint. I am going to send him the swatches of my...

As a side note: I took a peeksy at B and E graphics website. I was so pleased with the Yak graphics I got from them I figured they would have what I was looking for. Yeppers..... @Pistolera will not be the "ONLY" one with a Radial look alike. Hee hee.... I actually have to give Earle credit for...

Umm.....uh.....well, ah...umm..... I uh....Hmmm!!!! I really have zero clue at this point. However, I was thinking of stopping by one of the many paint mixing houses we have here in the Boise Valley. I am hoping they can match what ever color it is I choose to go with. It is really sad that...

Looking forward to it and will be watching your progress. Speaking of covering, I need to get rolling on a certain Pitts.

Just have a talk with the "tree" people. Tell them it is not allowed to "snatch" your rides outta the air. ;)

Very sound reminder. Thanks... Got that covered. I re-adjusted the "up" thrust angle to just about 1 degree up. If I need more, I can always dial it in very easily. As for "right" thrust, I typically won't mess with what is designed. But this had an extreme 3.3 degrees right thrust. I reduced it...

While the "wedge" would be an option, I believe I am just going to use slightly longer standoffs in the top motor mounts. I should not need much extra length.

6 Degrees "UP" thrust. Fuse leveled..... Fuse "zero'd"..... Firewall @ 6 degress "UP" thrust.

Aren't you always? Bwaahaa haa haa :spongebob: All kidding aside, I was very concerned I did something wrong. Like building the inner motor box upside down. I realize it would be quite impossible to do considering how "stupid" proof the main structure builds. But hey, this is me building it...

By the way Kevin or anyone actually...what length turnbuckles are most using for elevators and ailerons? I am sure I'll wait to order mine until the actual length can be measured. Just curious of the expected length.

Good enough. Thank you Kevin for taking the time and making the effort to confirm this. Guess I just never realized the requirement of the up thrust in the bipes. I will still measure the firewall just to be sure I didn't somehow "botch" this build.

I understand and fully agree with the "right" thrust. I am fully aware of that. However rough guess on "up" thrust is around 2 degrees or more. I will put my digital meter on it this evening for a more precise measurement. I was not aware of the need for so much "up" thrust on any plane.
