So real quick question.... Will setting the thrust to "zero" be correct for this plane? Is there a difference of thrust on bipes vs. monoplanes? When you say your firewall was straight, I am assuming the up thrust is set at "zero"? Sorry, this is three questions. Just trying to get this thing...

And no doubt I think you are correct. I looked at the construction of the fuse again. I would be "damning" off a ton of cutouts to keep the air out of the fuse and have it directed down the tunnel.

And yet, another unexpected set back. The winter weather in Idaho has been atrocious today so much like school students, we at work got a "snow" and "extremely hazardous road condition" day. Which although I would have preferred to work, I felt a little elated that I could spend the day working...

Been thinking about that. Since I built the bottom of the fuse enclosed, I am planning on opening up the cowl just enough to allow air across the twin jugged 3w beast cylinders. Baffle it of course, then send the warm air straight down the enclosed can tunnel to be exhausted through vents in the...

Thanks Earle. Oh you know me. Already planned on the "screen" effect like my Cessna. Hee hee. I just need to dig my stock of screening material out of my box and shoot it silver. :yesss: Or actually, what ever color matches the color I end up going to on the cowl. Could always add a different...

I got off work a few minutes, (about an hour actually) early tonight and so I set out to get some of the last minute details finished up on the Pitts. I am "just aaaalmossssst" there. Got the canopy sanded and sitting right pretty now. Dowels in the nose of the canopy inserted, Cowl ring bolted...

    Hangar 9 3.1M Sukhoi

Yup! Me agree 2! I myself used the furthest most hole on my 1.5" aluminum arms. Running two 7950's per elevator and aileron. While I get great deflection for sport and 3D flying, not the best for Precision. But the Sukhoi handles pretty much whatever you throw at it. I've considered moving mine...

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

I've been so involved with the Pitts, I've not been able to keep up with the build threads including your awesome Krier build. I like what you did with the servo mounts and was also considering doing a similar arrangement. Still waiting for a company to get back with me on some Lazer cut servo...

Thank you everyone. It has been a "LOT" of work. But sure is turning out to be a good looking bird. I realized after I snapped the photos, I didn't have the canopy/hatch seated all the way down so I really don't have much refining to do. I do have to final sand the entire fuse still and will add...

Here we go my friends. Temporary assembly of the Pitts. In fitting everything together, all went well except for the top canopy/hatch. It appears it will need just a little touch up for fit. Course, I have not final sanded yet, so that will probably take care of it. Way to wet outside and since...

You do have a point David. Besides, that is one busy airframe for color. Way to busy for me to even attempt to duplicate.

I think one of the reasons I am so skeptical on the Proton scheme is that I can not find enough photos showing all sides, front to rear, top to bottom and underneath. If I had a better idea of what I could get myself into, There could be a chance I would consider it. So..you have photos? Post...

Well at least even though a day late and a dollar short, you're here. Right? LOL... Glad you are following along with some really awesome input. Even if it is late. Hee hee:spongebob: Thank you Earle. I appreciate your comment. I know how anal and OCD to attention to detail you also can be. So...

Good evening my friends. Not as much time this evening but the same results. Left side is now sheeted and rough sanded. About two and a half hours and I now have a sheeted fuse. :brian-banana: I forgot about a couple of things. I still need to finish up the hatch, build servo rails and I also...
