    The blind nuts were epoxied inside the tube. I added milled fiberglass powder to the epoxy to make sure it stayed put. To locate them I put it together and drilled through the stab hole into the tube till it barely went through both sides of the tube. That way I could use a long bolt that...

    I did the stab on my Carf Extra by gluing blind nuts in the carbon tube. But on those tubes the hole was very near the end, so I wasn't very worried about the tube breaking.

    The most annoying sounding things at our field most of the time are the warbirds. Loud, wide open all the time, running bad, popping and snorting. But I still like them. ;)

    There is no doubt about that. We have a guy at the field flying some mid engine pusher electric thing that rips the prop so bad it will make your ears bleed. All that while going at a speed that's about a fast walk. He of course thinks he has the perfect prop.:msn_slap:
