The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Hmm, what did I do in the workshop tonight? Weeell..... The RCGF 120 has been running good, but I felt it could do better. I gassed her up this evening and spent about 15 minutes of dialing, running, dialing, running and doing it all again. I feared it was a little rich on the low end and a...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Ah! That would explain it. I have noticed the packs in my 107" Edge use as much as my big 40 "centers". And it weighs far less and has less servo's. And they are not quite a year old. (The flight packs) There is a lot to be said about how we beat the snot outta our planes when we're really...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Two flights? Cripes, we easily get 6 to 8 10 minute flights with no concerns. What up yo? I didn't get to enjoy any flying today. It seems some storms got together and ganged up on the Boise valley today. From 111 on Thursday to barely over 60 today. Not to mention that damn wind. So, I am...

That is very odd. Never heard of a servo that would not communicate with a rx.

Doesn't matter the size. Doesn't even matter the brand. As long as you can get some stick time, it's all awesome. Disclaimer: This comment excludes any and all glow. :spongebob:

That is so awesome. I am really happy for you. Maybe I ought to cons2that four banger too.:yesss:

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I dunno Mark. Doesn't look as though it has much power. And why does it sound like it's only running on two cylinders? :lol2: Seriously, looks pretty sweet. I still am considering a 180 in the near future.

I would love to see/hear that 180 wailing in person. But a video would suffice. Maybe that sweet daughter of yours will shoot some footage of that bad a$$ in action?! :yesss: The temps have cooled off some and it looks to be a great weekend for getting some flying in. Going to start the weekend...

    RCGF 120

Ok, so this is about as good as my talent will allow. Or shall I say the lack thereof?! Added one more deflector to the right side of the cowl, carefully cut for the plug cap on the left side. It just almost didn't need it. I may opt to do nothing more to the left side. As for the right side...

    RCGF 120

I really liked the way the 120 ran with the canisters, so I decided to not wait on replacing the cowl. This time it will be a much cleaner install. Look Ma, no holes. Tonight I'll add a little baffling and put the lid back on. She'll be ready for wailin' on this weekend.

    RCGF 120

I like the RCGF 120. Even more so now. But worms and maggots will be fighting for my flesh and I will be pushing up daisies before my cold dead fingers lose their grip on my 157 and 170. Sorry pal. Just not in the cards for ya.

    RCGF 120

Ok, allow me to correct myself. "NOT ADVERTIZED"... as Chris pointed out. But as you already know, it might as well be. If you go with the twin, I'd really like to see a comparison between a "dub" of the same size. Tell ya why. The numbers are in on the 120 with MTW 75 cans. As expected, I lost...

    RCGF 120

They do. Well, actually it's 68.something cc. From what I hear it's a running fool. Quite the little beast.

    RCGF 120

So the RCGF 120 equipped 107" Pilot Edge is getting different exhaust. For no more than they weigh and the improvement the DLE 111 gained, I figured why not. Besides, they were laying around, might as well give them a try. At barely 26 lbs., the Edge probably won't even feel the mere pound or...

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

By the way, I have to correct myself. Last night I mentioned 5/16". That should have been 3/16". Then 1/8" after the "T". Sorry for the confusion.
