    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

I fear what will happen to ammo prices after recent events.... Might be time to invest in a reloader. As of right now, Federal GMM is cheap enough it isn't worth my time to reload for it. Have you heard of or used SWFA/SuperSniper scopes? They're cheaper than Leupold, and I've not read anything...

Yeah, once the Millet goes downhill, I'm gonna switch to MOA reticles. I've gotten pretty proficient with both, but MOA is simpler in terms of conversions. It's not that big of a deal to me as I don't have to worry about someone shooting back at me, but if I did, I'd want MOA for simplicity...

Sweet. The angle made the bore look bigger than a 7.62. I'm assuming a Nightforce scope on top? I have a Howa .308 Win bolt gun, with Millet TRS2 glass. I've had pretty good performance out of the scope, but I'm just waiting for it to fall apart one of these days, LOL. Back when I shot...

    Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Got a Bostitch air compressor and two nail guns this morning, and a Vikings windbreaker and hat yesterday. Most importantly, I've had a great time with family and friends, and another get together this evening.

Subtrim vs. Programmer for Centering Servos

I see what you mean, but I'm talking about removing the arm from the servo, then re-zeroing the subtrim and setting the arm back in place. According to above posts, you're losing a lot of travel in one direction.

Subtrim vs. Programmer for Centering Servos

65 clicks of subtrim? Sheesh.... You could move the horn probably two notches and get rid of that.

    Discussion Combo

Hmmmm. I might have to snag one of these combos. I got a new heli that requires some hefty batteries, so an upgraded charger is on my to-do list.

    Castle Creations ESCs

Thanks for helping me interpret what all those charts are saying guys. I'm phasing out the Turnigy batteries, but that one bit me before it got culled. :)

    Castle Creations ESCs

I usually fly them down to 3.75-3.8, and don't store them charged for more than a couple days at most, so it just might have been a bad apple.

    Castle Creations ESCs

    They're Turnigy 2200's, 25/35c, only about 25 cycles.

    Castle Creations ESCs

It nose-dived from 30', and the battery slid forward into the motor shaft. That resulted in a fire that burnt the front of the plane off. No power distribution, it was only a 48" Edge....
