The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I started working on the cowl today... still no mufflers yet though. So that part will have to wait. But I cut a preliminary air exit hole and made the baffles.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

The last couple days have been a little slow. I have finished up the rudder setup. I mounted the receiver and tied all the wires as neatly as I care to. I installed the wolverine switch and the ignition LED. I drilled the prop and installed it along with the spinner. Finally, I installed the...

I saw those last night while looking for a replacement. I just don't have experience with the pull pull system yet that would drive me to "require" them.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I was working on finishing up the rudder cables last night. I was crimping with a needle nose pliers and did something very stupid. I even checked which part of the pliers I was using and still cut the whole cable instead of crimping... so now am waiting for some Amazon Prime ordered fishing...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I decided to head back to the front of the ARS again. This time I installed the throttle and choke servos and set them both up. Not much else today besides 3 flights on my 50cc Edge :)

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I got more work done on the ARS 300 yesterday. I installed the elevator servos and matched them, finished the other wing panel, installed the servo arms and pushrods and matched the servos for the rudder, and did the servo side of the pull-pull system. It doesn't seem like there is a whole lot...

With working on the frint end of the ARS out of the question I went for the wings. I got the servos installed and linkages set up and matched on one wing tonight.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I wish it were that easy. I didn't find this until I tried temporarily mounting the mufflers to cut the cowl. There was no way the screw holes were going to line up to install the 2nd screw!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Well, I ran into a snag installing the mufflers on the DA-120. The gaskets that came with the engine and mufflers fit the engine perfectly. The picture shows the gasket on the muffler. Not sure how to make those screw holes line up!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I unpackaged the brand new DA-120 with all the fixings and my Savox 1270 servos for the ARS tonight:) So a while back, I posted a thread about aircraft for awesome performance with a DA-100... but after all that deliberation, I decided I might as well bite the bullet and just get the bigger...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I am building a Great Planes Ryan STA EP little electric from a kit. Today, it was ridiculously hot so I got a bunch complete on it. I sheeted the top of the fuselage, made the hatch, glued the motor mount, and currently working on a modification to that motor mount so it will work with an...
