The sanding has started hopefully it does not take to long. I have found over years that sand down to 600 is just a wast of time. Did an experiment once sanded one piece down to 600 and the second down to 220 and could not tel the difference. Maybe this time I am going to go down to 150 and see how it looks. Have any of you gentlemen any advice or commitments.
One thing I did try once is spray the wing hair spray and then sanded it down to 220. If gets rid of the tiny fuzz of the wood, but it did not cover any different or better. One thing with the hair spray you could lift and reposition it.
Thanks for that snoop, I also sand down to 600 and always wondered if it really made a difference. My good flying friend always laughed at me for doing that. He built beautiful scale planes and would sand to 150. I also use the hairspray, I do find it helps.
