Scale 1/3 Scale Extra 330L Build.

Made a start on the fuselage almost got the Tailwheel in just have finish up the springs, don’t think I will leave it like that because I have not had good success with larger plane with extension springs. Will most likely end up making a set of compression springs works much better. Just need to be in the mood to build them it takes time, patience and hard on the fingers.

I did not receive the flat plat that you are showing for the bottom of the rudder and I only received Two pull springs. You are showing four small swivels did not receive those either.

The plane is basically done just need to paint the cowl and install the radio and engine. The engine has been fitted already. Just waiting for some parts and good weather to paint the cowl.
Probably have one more post showing it all done.

Completely rebuilt the Tailwheel spring setup with two made up compression springs with 1 inch compression, that will do the job, even in heavy cross winds.

It will be little while it is the middle of winter in my area. At least 10 weeks before I will be able to fly the plane.
The worst thing is that I have run out stuff to build and it will be while before the season starts, that is not good.

Well did some weight checks today. The plane weighed 14 lbs 2oz. Everything else to make it fly 10 lbs 4 oz. that gets me to 24 lbs 6oz. I am happy with that it is Scale plane and not built for 3D, but I must say I did try to keep it as light as possible. That puts it at a WQL of 10 which is good for a scale plane.

Not bad on the weight. Mine came in about 1.5 pounds heavier than that (11.75kg in my terms). At my aircraft's weight with the 111 upfront, it is more than capable of long uplines and some 3D (pity that I am not really that 3D capable). Hopefully you can use the gear installation to get the CG right on and you will have a great flying plane. Even with the additional weight that you mentioned due to the servos, you'll have no issues. Remember that this was designed for a 50-70cc engine and mine flew well on the original Fuji BT-86 Twin (which is definitely NOT a powerhouse of an engine).

Hi @MuttsyFlyer thanks for the comment. I believe The plane will fly well at 25 lbs with DA 100. The plane was not built to do 3D I have four 3D planes and that is more than enough for me. Just built this plane for its scale out line and looks. Just love the big round fuselage. I hope to just do some nice comfortable flying and some IMAC with it. When it is completely done I will let you know the final weight and a picture of the radio installation.
If there is one thing, I will do just about anything not to add dead weight to a plane.
All I am doing is prepping for the final stages. Spent some balancing the spinner and propeller. Will spend the rest of the day sanding the cowl ready for a coat of primer.

Received my wheels at last took 12 weeks to receive them. Now I can get them mounted and do a final assembly and check the CG and move the necessary equipment around to balance the plane.
