Hi @AKNick have a question looking at your black painted Tailwheel you seem to have three leaf springs in it I only received two leaf spring blades with mine. Did you add an extra one or did I get ripped off.

Darnit. Sounds like QC missed the third leaf! HH is pretty good about sending stuff that’s broken of missing. Probably not that hard to make either. They could have made it thicker though too?

I do like it the way it is. It’s springy but yet rigid enough. So if your plane is 20-21lbs like mine... maybe worth whistling up another leaf.

My first (largest) leaf I just noticed was a bit bent. Note I’m on my 13th flight by then. Lots of touch and goes. So yeah. Add something. Or make your own tail wheel spring.

Went out to the beach!!!! Got 1/2hr of flying in before the tide got to me.
I have some GoPro video to edit. Golly I love this plane even more now.

Definitely going to make a 3” tail wheel eventually. My 2” was getting drug around in the sand.

Looks like the plane is growing on you. Thanks for the tail gear update looks like I have do something about it that is a pain.

Here is a snippet photo from the gopro footage. Pretty fun in an open space!! CG feels nice. Hovers are locked in surprisingly. I took off and landed in all of that area in the picture. It can handle it great.

Good to see you are able to hang it on the propeller that is pretty good for a 55 at 23 lbs. plane looks good and it is locked in hope mine will be able to do that with the electrical set up I have chosen.

Did a little work on the T bracket that screws into the bottom of the rudder that controls the the Tailwheel. Made the holes on the bracket the same centre to centre distance as on the Tailwheel, just makes the geometry correct and the Tailwheel turns the same amount as the rudder.
