Alright, guys! Sorry I keep asking questions that seem perhaps dumb, but I haven't built/worked on a plane this big nor a motor or prop of this size, so some of this stuff is slightly different for me. I got my Xpwr 40cc motor in today as well as the Xoar 21X10 prop and spinner. The diameter of the prop hub is smaller than the size of the motor shaft. Did I need to order the prop with a different size mounting hub, or do I have to drill out the prop to fit the Motor shaft? I have never drilled out a prop of this size and I don't have a drill press to make sure the prop is drilled perfectly. what do you guys suggest?

Best result is to get a tapered reamer. That way you do not drill the hole off and ruin the prop.

edit: the XPWR 40cc has a 10mm shaft
Also I have to ask, you did get and Electric prop, not a Gas right?

yes, I got the electric version of the Xoar 21X10

I had to ream the propeller out with a reamer. And yess I have an E prop on my XPWR but I will start with a 20-10. I know it is a little on the light side but will keep the amps below max load and will also allow me to put a couple of cycles on the batteries before loading them up with a larger propeller if I feel I need it and flight times.

@Snoopy1 Hey man, with the Xpwr 40CC did you have to do major changes to the motor box/firewall to get that motor to fit? It's weird cause there are the bolts sticking out of the back of the motor that hold the mount on which won't allow it to sit right up against the motor box. Just wondering what you did with this thing...? Would you be willing to post some pics of your motor mounted and how it is attached? Thanks!

#185 look at that one it shows the motor box I built for the motor, throughout the motor box that came with the kit. Could not get it to fit the motor properly. If my memory serves me right from page 15 on I make some reference about the motor box. If you have any further questions please ask.

Thanks for the advice guys. A dude over on RCGroups posted about mounting his Xpwr 40CC motor using the Blazing Star stand-offs like the picture here. I am going to go that route as it seems the easiest and he says it fits perfectly. Thanks!
