Sky blue, beautiful color. I've read that Monokote is going away, sad day. In my opinion a superior product to Ultrakote. Will be using Hobby King covering film in the future.

Glued the vertical stab/rudder assembly in place using 30min epoxy. Cleaned excess epoxy with a paper towel soaked in alcohol. It’s nice that MMW has alignment tabs/slots to help put everything on strait. Just had to tape in place for squareness and that’s it.
started adding my monokote blue midst trim on.
Cut more for the other side and the smaller trim lines underneath... hopefully put those on tomorrow.
Worked on my fuselage pin stripes. Talk about tedious! Used the pin stripe backing as my spacing guide. Still need to put the large light blue upper stripe on the other side and seal a couple other spots. Basically done covering the fuselage other than graphics.
Worked out a few details today. For reasons I cannot explain the wood firewall bugged me! So I painted it Rustoleum aluminum followed by a clear coat which tarnished it a bit... which worked out great giving it a weathered look.
The oil cooler is put together in two halves. I used CA and an alignment mark to get it right. Used some CA as a filler to cover up my poor cutting job. Then painted Rustoleum Deep Blue Gloss 2x
Played with some windows. Tried to find the best method for not sending a #11 blade through the window or my hand. Seemed flowing the vacuum formed crease had the best control and the trimming with curved scissors to get it right.
Used formula 560 canopy glue.
David gave a little tip in his build manual to use scrap balsa sticks as pressure supports, tried it out and it works great! Seemed like whenever I used tape, there would be uncured glue underneath it.
also wanted to point out that david went through the extra effort to make bubble windows for the cabin door. For the full scale these are aftermarket egress windows and a necessity for sticking your head out a bit for viewing down a bit. A very nice touch.
There are two other sets of windows provided for the aft cabin. The full scale has a cabin stretch mod for extra seating, the OEM is round. One thing I noticed is the window for my full size plane I’m copying was different, it’s a bit smaller and has more of an angle to it. (Only I would know this). Believe I could have used the aft window one place forward, but would have required some fitting issues... so just left it alone.
