Assuming you're using spektrum telemetry for in flight rpm.. Care to share your setup? I've seen a lot of concern over ensuring you don't have connections that will render the optokill or I bec useless because of creating path from ignition to rx.

I have been using the y off the hall sensor, but am transitioning to the evolution rpm telemetry module for the reasons you noted above. Enterprise recently tested it and it works.

evoa107 is the horizon part number.

That part only works on RCxel ignitions that have the RPM lead. They make the box for the Evolutions and the VVRC as well as all the DLE's. I am going to try to use one on my OS GT60 or GT33 to see if that will fix the backward starting issue as well as open a path to this telemetry.

I have been using the Y trick all season on my OS motors with no issues.

I have not figured out a way to do this with DA ignition modules, but those are also more "known" motors, and DA gives solid recommendations for props, so I don't feel the need to experiment as much.

taking from my post about wheels

got my wheels on & i don't use the axels supplied as wheels fall off , i use a high tensile cap screw with nylocks as its very reliable for 40% so im going with that set up on the 92''

Tonight Glen, you are my hero. Thanks Mate :)

We would like to see another angle and a list of parts used in that axle configuration. It looks pretty straightforward. One bolt and 4 nuts?

92" edge weight

Nice job, Gary. Can you get a weight measurement before putting it at risk again? ;)

I don't know what gary's weight is but my 92" edge with gp 61 and smooth pipe came out to 17.22 lbs or 7813g

Gary, to tune out the mid range burble I usually richen the high needle a little so I can lean the bottom needle. When the idle becomes unreliable then you have gone too far!

My build thread on this beast can be found here....just got her flying this week before a big snow storm:banana::banana::banana:
oops never mind, rccanada is off line right now!

Nice flying Lorne, and thanks for the tuning advice... I'll try and work that burble out, and get an AUW today at the field.

Thanks for the info. These are a nice weights, and someone else sent me their weight of 18.9 on a DLE55 with a pipe -- I think it was a proflow. Anything under 19 is great, and under 18 would mean the power options are many.
