I hear ya on the reverse starts and the whole starter issue. I'm going to hold out for DA for a while longer.

So, 2006! Relatively underpowered glow pattern hybrid flying it like it was an EF or 3DHS electric. 7 years ago! Really Cody, really? I don't know if I should feel better or worse after watching that? I know you were just showing the flip start (I do remember having a few glows that would do that) but it was hard to ignore the talent even back then. I guess I'm not that disappointed with my learning curve so far.

The Hatori header shipped today. Hopefully it gets here before the weekend. If it does i should have everything i need to get the pipe mounted.

I also bought a flex header from milehighrc before i found the Hatori header. It'll do the job if needed, but with how thin it is i'm not sure it would last long.

How hot does the exhaust get? My dad was saying i could use this stuff http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-8-22mm-HPS-1-Foot-Long-Silicone-Coupler-Tube-Black-/140580688822

It's for car turbos. It is good up to 350 degrees.

Are teflon couplers good to 500 degrees? And where can i get the tape i see people wrap their header and pipe in?

Might be good to take some of the engine specific stuff to the combustion section discussion, that way more people might see the question and be able to help?

Don't use the silicone turbo hose. It will take the heat no problem but gasoline dissolves silicone after a while. Eventually it will fail.

Use some teflon tubing and spring clamps....if you measure the OD of the pipe inlet and the header you can find something that will match from mcmaster.com. While you are there, get some button head cap screws. Drill a hole in the header and pipe to put the screws in...use two on the header and two on the pipe. The coupler should slip over the screws, and the screws should be under a slot in the spring clamps. This will ensure the coupler doesn't pop off. Teflon will easily take the temperatures necessary.

I received the Hatori header today and it will work great! The drop is perfect(25mm), it comes with the right size bolts needed too. Just need some spring clamps and it will be all ready to setup. The header feels super solid. Very nice quality and it drops right in.

Sorry for the poor quality pics but it lines up nicely! I need about 7'' in between the header and pipe, should i make an aluminum extension or would it be OK to use the teflon tube and just cut it to the length i need?

Hone, what engine did you go with (list track!)? Is that the OS? Header looks great. I have the 30 pipe and am getting tired of waiting for DA. The OS is my backup but the reverse starting is my hurdle! I don't have an don't want to get a starter. "Fuel flip an go" was my motivation to go gas. The OS has everything else. I'll give it this month. I'm following you close since we may have identical setups. Good luck and please continue to post progress. Thanks.
