78'' Extra

You could really use the 78'' with those 25mph gusts :veryshocked:

I definitely try and follow the advice of sticking to one plane at a time. I usually get really excited about a plane and fly that plane only until i feel i really know that plane. Then i usually start to push it to the point of crashing. Then, of course, it's time for a new airframe :)

That's about the size of it. When I get the 78 up the gas 15 minute flts will be great. I have 4 6s for my 60 and those get me 6-8 min each.the rest are 4S so I fly my 42 Peaks, 48 MXS and EDFs on those to fill the time. Speaking of which. Gotta fly again.

Thanks, yes it is "star struck". Santi gets credit too. I am proud of my first "real" vinyl application. Thanks to Rapid RC for the samples.

Looking for a second (single) battery for this. Have one 2S 3000 mAh now. Tough finding it. larger or smaller. Would like to get several flights on a charge. Thanks.

I run a single 2s li-fe on mine, 2200mah. Battery is powering 5 digital servos (7955's and 2 7945's) as well as the ignition. I am using about 400 mah per flight, and each flight is 12 minutes. I get an easy 4 flights before recharging the pack. I have a second pack and can just swap it out and put the used one back onto the charger.

I put the dle 35 in my 70 aj slick completely stock and it has been really nice. I'm sure the mods will make it even better but I do want to make sure ppl realize that my experience has shown this engine to be totally solide right out of the box. I literally bolted it on and tuned it and it has been no hassle since.

Never used li-fe s. pros cons to lipo ?

Even though DLE says a 2s lipo is ok on the ignition they recommend using less voltage. I am also running a single 2s LiFe pack and am having similar results to ryan_m. I am using different servos but the specs are similar and I'm having similar power usage/flight. You might get a tad snappier response on your servos from a lipo but I don't think it is enough of a difference to matter.
