Yes. Probably some kind of hose.

DLE and others are using those Teflon extended mufflers now ....you might check your muffler diameter and see if they will fit..I think you can paint them also...

I went to Harbour Freight for the first time today to pickup some of those cute little clamps everyone uses for building.
