Scale Building a Bulldog II

Blazing Wings

Sounds good. On the top wings, don't worry about drawing a strut or cabane mount. I will be doing a scale bolt through wing to the struts, a scale cabane and cover, so I will fabricate those mounts to fit during construction.

AceRC how do you want the top wings to be? 1, 2 or 3 piece? what you prefer?

Design them as a two piece. Also I would like the wing tube to extend quite a bit outward probably near half the wing or a quarter of the aileron as this bird will get a work out. A wing tube something like the white line in the pic.

Woo Hooooo

Another Bipe thread to follow along with. . . . . :dancing-chicken:
Not much to follow yet but soon I hope. The Challenger needs to be finished up but between remodeling houses and trying to get some practice in for Top Gun there's not much time for building. I bought another practice plane so I can have one at home and at the house being remodeled. If I can get to a point of being comfortable in a flight routine I can spend a little time on the Challenger.

No worries Robert,

Anyone who knows me knows that I am usually not a very patient person unless it is something that I am REALLY interested in. After watching you build your Eagle almost from the beginning, I KNOW I will be more than willing to be patient for this one too. . . . :yesss:

LOL! Initially we were talking of 120"ws, but he already had molds for a 100" ws Challenger cowl, pants, and canopy. The cowl is very close to identical and can easily be modified by me to match, canopy and pants match. And at 120" it would not go in my trailer without disassembly of which I hate doing, so a 100"ws it is.

So if I understand you correctly you are going to walk the Bi-plane into the trailer sideways while standing it on its nose. That will be some fancy support system not to damage the plane during transport. Going to be an interesting build. Good luck.
