3D "Extreme" makeover Terryscustom edition

Got a few things done today. Sticker bling showed up for the Edge.....not too little, not too much.

I tackled the Extra and it got:
- New landing gear
- New gear cuffs
- Repaired front section from F-1 to gear plate
- Fabricated bottom plate with low pressure lip and vent hole
- Made new standoff blocks and mounted engine
- Re-mounted rudder and went over all fuse covering with gun and iron.

Test fit wings for first time since covering!!!

Ah Terry I see the maple mounts that you have for your motor. Nice and simple. Do you epoxy them in place? Do you really feel that reduces vibration?

Terry makes those for my planes also and they are awesome. You get the exact size you need and they are extremely sturdy.

No need for epoxy.....they are bolted on with the engine bolts. I do normally put a little medium CA on them just so they stay in place if I have to remove the engine. Maple blocks have worked wonders and they are free (for me) because I am a woodworker.

Thanks guys. I asked about the epoxy paint because I like to use textured paint on my firewall and I am thinking if I should paint them as well.

Hey Eric, how do you like the GP61? Is it as much a beast as the larger GP powerplants?
