Mini lathe (and mill) discussion.

Got the splash guard modified today and got the lathe put back together. I like the added space with the guard moved back. Should have done it sooner. Also built the chip guard over the cross slide scale. Every thing is back up and running.

There's gear arms of all manner to figure out.

Made a matched set of 1.245 X .5 x 5" parallels last night. They will work great as parallels or standoffs. I've got a mill fixture plate on the way.

How true are those? I suppose you made sure before calling them finished.

They are very very close. I still need to use a stone on them though! Happy so far.

That would be an interesting project. I'm no where near that accurate.
