More big photos. Decided to try an aluminum arm idea. Cut, tapped (2-56) and sanded to a basic shape.

Milled and milled and milled the cross beam until assembly was centered inside door frame.

Routed the top of the door for push rod insertion.

Will use a small piece of cf dowel to keep rod in line.

Found a perfect spring.

Added a little steel backplate to help the balsa spring restraint.

Capped the routing slots and test fitted the door. Still a lot of fitting and hinging to do.
