Been a while...
Doesn’t look like much, but I have finally determined how I am going to move forward with the tail. Set up the chop saw to help ensure the angles are right and the tail piece is square. Very happy with the results.

Hysol 9430. Brush on a thin layer of non-thickened epoxy to the skin, then fill exposed honeycomb section with mashed potatoes epoxy. In thinking about the loads, really the only portion that probably needs the 9430 is the firewall or other high stress areas. The hysol bonds much better to the prepreg panels than any other epoxy. This isn’t a full scale airplane, or a race boat, that sees tremendous stress levels. But, I still use it (Hysol), because I know it bonds very well on these panels and I get great pot life. Don’t need too many learning curves at once...

Please explain this statement. ? “mashed-potatoes epoxy.“. Never heard of this.
Using cabosil, thicken the resin to just about mashed potatoes consistency. Essentially, you don't want the mixture to run. Became a big joke when I was building the full scale race boats with a buddy of mine and it has just stuck - pun intended... haha
