Well that make's two of us brother, I loath adding dead weight.Looks from all the changes you are not going to have to add any weight that is always so important to me, it just bugs me to add dead weight to a plane.

No fretting going on here sunshine. When I get done and maiden it, if it need's tail weight I'll add it but while in the assembly stage I prefer to get it as close as possible but also noting the cg range is wide and we all have our flight style preference. So balance close to the center of the cg and make adjustments later. On 100CC+ models, slapping 3-4oz of lead onto the tail of the airplane to change your balance doesn't add any measurable effect, other than making it more responsive in the tail. It's not such a big deal, and isn't something to really fret over But to each his own...
That is more gap than I would like, that would bother me. I would have to fix because I would not stop looking at it.And now that I have it on the floor for better access I notice the top wing does not close up. This gap will allow movement in flight which would probably damage the wing and or tube. So I will have to make a wedge to fill this gap. Not feeling the warm and fuzzies with this PAU today.
I'll make a wedge, glue it to one side, and paint it red. Should not be to terribly noticeable.
No, if it was that the gap would be even but it is not, the front is touching in that pic. The tube and sleeves were built out of alignment or the roots were.Is the wing joiner / tube a bit too long?
