Ever compared the zinc coated to the SS, Terry?

Yup, I still have some zink ones here that I have not used after accidentally ordering stainless once. The stainless ones are smaller O.D. and thicker. They fit inside most muffler bolt holes where the other ones do not.

NO on the dyna locks....nothing compared to Nordlocks. Actually I prefer the standard stainless nord-locks because they are thicker and can be used over and over almost indefinitely. Use them for mufflers, and prop bolts. http://www.mcmaster.com/
Yup, have to agree. Nothing really compares to the Nord locks. And like Terry, I also use them on my props. Another lesson learned was the GP Evo 176 that sheared two prop bolts on the very first maiden of my Sukhoi. From that point on, Nord locks on everything questionable. Lol

I just realized...I feel like the rancher that closed his barn doors "AFTER" the horses ran away. All my experience has been coming...."after" the fact. Doah! Is this what they call real life 'sperience!??! At least it's been good learning experiences without serious costs.
:lol2:

Didn't get much done today...

Got the wheel pants mounted:

Hey, do you guys think I need to cut an opening in the cowl with all these openings cut out behind it?

I changed the stock tailwheel tire to a DUBRO 1-1/2":

I attached the rudder and the tailwheel spring arm:

Big question now that the headers are on... would the cowl fit over the baffling and the headers, answer?, just barely:

Looks really nice. I say no on cutting the cowl. On both my PAU Extra and my Pilot Edge, I have the same basic openings in the bottom of the fuse as your 330. Didn't cut either cowl and both motors run very cool. I think I have less on the big 260 and it cools really well also.

Started on the pull/pull, it's not going all that fast. If you go push/pull like Spats you're also going to have to take some time to put in hard points and servo pockets... Spats probably has that down to a science, though. :) The whole rudder servo setup could use some refinement, imo, for a fast installation that works well.

Does that airframe not come already designed for rudeer servos in the rear??
