I also have the 40cent pilot extra 300. You cant beat that plane for throwing down some low and slow 3d. Yours should be awesome.
Thanks for all the info, yakken! Tavis? Man, what does he know about anything anyway? haha

I have one of those. Actually very compact and superior for setup. I like it.
In the old days I never used a set screw and always got my canisters to stay attached. But, on the Sukhoi I ran 2 screws per clamp (8 screws total for the plane), and on this plane I'm trying 1 screw per clamp (4 screws total for the plane).

Hey @Joe Hunt , check out this pic. Look closely behind the canopy of the big Ultimate.
Very thin coat of high temp silicone on the gaskets, let dry. Use "nord locks" and the bolts will never come loose, never use loctite in the heads because it liquefies with heat and is useless anyway.
What screws are you using for this?
I have a ProFlow can in my Edge and I haven't had any slipping problems yet but I've been thinking about using a couple screws to make sure things stay where they should.
How about these dyna locks from microfasteners.com?

And, if nord locks are good how about these X nord locks, new and improved? haha

NO on the dyna locks....nothing compared to Nordlocks. Actually I prefer the standard stainless nord-locks because they are thicker and can be used over and over almost indefinitely. Use them for mufflers, and prop bolts. http://www.mcmaster.com/
