well looks like insurance is going to total my truck. Good news is they are want $250 to by it back and I went to all the local salvage yards today and found bumpers that will be about $200 for both and the insurance thinks since there is no obvious frame damage that I may be able to keep my normal title and not have to get a salvage title.

I have an I/R meter built in to the multi meter I have. Don't use it much because it will only read a 2S pack ( or 7.4 volts). I need to make an adaptor for 3S and higher packs that will limit voltage to 7.4 volts. The I/R is accumulative across all cells but read across the first cell in the pack. So reading a 6S pack with it (using adaptor) is not getting a true reading across all cells in the pack. Only the first two. So I need an I/R meter myself lol. Your PL-8 charger should calculate the c rating using I/R??? http://www.jj604.com/LiPoTool/
I agree with what you said but IR number is different for charging or discharging. So I believe the numbers I am reading off my pl8 are during charging.

Balsadust, check with your local tag office because in some states once a vehicle has been classified by insurance as totaled they won't renew your tag. And usually the vehicle will be dropped by the insurance and no one will pick it up.

Anybody install ETrack in their rigs? Looking at putting in a shelf in my van to give me extra storage space for those long road trips.

I can highly recommend the Demon Cortex gyro. Pricey, but works great.

I second the Demon Cortex. I have one of them in two airframes now and it takes the boxing match with the wind away. But don't think for a second you can quit flying the plane, the Cortex does not in any way have that kind of effect.

I agree with both of you and yes the plane still needs to be flown and controlled as normal. But hopefully it will help with jumping around and being blown arond while trying to land. Have one question do not have Demon Cortex but my friend gave me a Powerbox Igyro 3e to try to see how will it help me fly in the wind. Hopefully after it has been test flown later this week and then the gyro will be installed. If any of you gentlemen have any experience with the Powerbox Igyro 3e your assistance’s will be appreciated.

I have already talked to my insurance and they could care less. Not sure about dmv but if I never have to send my title to the insurance then really the dmv won’t ever know about the accident.

That's how it works in Illinois. Also, your insurance company should still sell you liability coverage.

I might do that in my trailer. A year of rigging my own mounts and I'm thinking about Etrack recently.

I finally worked on the repair to Miss Moana's elevator. I hadn't worked on it because I wanted to run around the edge of the patch with some thin CA and I didn't have any so I finally got some today. After the CA I went around the edges with some Dolphin Glaze then sanded it smooth. Next up, primer.

Ok if I may ask. You had a small hole in the stab tip. Now did you do it cut the covering back to some balsa wood, and glued it down or did you just put a patch over the hole and used some coverite glue and start filling and sanding.
