3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

That would be beautiful! Glad you made her (and you) happy! My mother was a 5 minute walk away from me yet I couldn't go in to visit her since March last year.

You know it could happen any day, you expect it to happen. But yet when it does happen it catch's you by surprise.

Now on to covering after I fix all the workshop dings! It had many, not just from me do also from the guy that started building the fuse.
We tried to match a paint to match the monokote green but it could not be done, so I am going to cover the cowl. Put a small piece of the monokote and ironed it onto the bottom of the cowl on low heat. Right after I did that I peeled it off to see how good it would hold, not very. But after I let it sit for 45 minutes I could not peel it off without pulling the monokote apart!! I had to sand it off!! I was told that it will only work on a unpainted cowl. Which mine is. I also tried to put a bit on some plastic that the canopy was cut from. I used windex to put it on then after it dried I went over it with low heat, same results as the cowl.
I have used vinyl to wrap a cowl and after a year it still looks great. So we will see how monokote does.

Covered a complete fiberglass fuselage with Monokote back in the day.
Unpainted
Must be polyester not epoxy
Iron on high heat
Start in middle and iron in a circular pattern working your way to the edges.
Pull the snot out of the covering while iron, use stretch rather than shrink.
When my old friend ask me to cover his fuselage with Monokote, I laughed and said it would never work, then he took me to a booth at Toledo where they had several covered with Monokote, pretty sure the company was from Ohio, maybe AHS or something like that. They had a whole line of glass fuselage/foam wing airplanes, his was 1/4 scale Laser. Had to be before 1994.
