The avionics package arrived today.

Worked on the nose wheel a little today, cut the strut to length to eliminate interference with the carburetor, made a teflon ring to hold the strut in the bearing block, and drilled and tapped for the 8-32 control horn. Need to make a control rod and off to filling and sanding. The nosewheel will need to be removed to remove the cowl so the design took that fact into consideration. No big deal, after the original setting of the engine there is little need to remove the cowl anyway.

All the linkage work is completed. Discovered that 5/8" KS tube slips right over the stock 15mm o.d. exhaust tubes. Silver brazed a "Y" fitting to collect both pipes into one. Plan to use 5/8" KS aluminum tube and three 1/2" streamline elbows to route the exhaust to the scale location which is located at the rear of the cowl.
