    Just putting this out there

Not long ago, there was a comment from a specific individual stating that it would be really cool if there was an R/C Airplane/Girl calendar. I for one, think it would also be very cool. And I would most definitely purchase one. I therefore contacted a gentleman this past Thursday who runs a...

    Best You Tube Video

Surely you all have a favorite r/c you tube video right? Besides the 1/3 scale B-25, this has got to be one of my favorites of all time. Watch it full screen... rather impressive. Not many can boast a landing/touch down like this one. Al "nails" it. Let's see your favorites....

REDUCED! For Sale Or Trade: Saito 180 with Onboard Starter

Ok everyone, time for upgrading. Selling my barely and gently used Saito FA180 four stroke with onboard electric starter and all accessories that go with it. Complete system has a mere 11 flights on it. Starter works perfectly. More than enough grunt to turn over the monster Saito. It was...

    Trailer Ideas

Hey everyone... am I dazed and confused? I thought I had seen a thread on trailers or ideas on trailers but can't seem to find it. Or maybe a few comments were just mentioned in other threads. If I missed it, then pardon this thread. If there is not one, then I suppose this would be a good place...

Wow, that guy is one piece of work.....

Ok everyone, I am going to vent a little so please excuse me while I rant for a minute...(or three). So, I jumped over to that other site a week or so ago to grab some information on the rebuild I did on my 260. I was not allowed to continue with the process, (that is the message I got) and it...

    Prop bolts....what's the consensus?

Any of you every change your prop bolts? If so, any particular reason? Any particular time? Any particular amount of flights? Any particular hardness? Other than soft Chinese of course. I am speaking of course for other than obvious reasons. Threads iffy and such. Speaking of threads on prop...

    PHENOLIC SLEEVES FOR CARBON TUBES

I noticed after my final flight yesterday (Saturday) that the Phenolic sleeve for the stab cf tube on my 260 is showing some age. One side is nearly loose from the inside of the fuse with a crack in it. The other side is appears to be loosing also. I am thinking it may be time to replace the...

    Telemetry Usefullness

I've always thought "knowing" what my engine temp, rpm and battery useage is would be kind of cool. Along with GPS and real time air speed pito tubes adding to the knowledge of air speed, a variometer... (rate of cliimb). I've been wanting to add this feature to my 260 and my Sukhoi. Just not...

Whew....that was a close one! Close Call and Narrow Escapes

So this past Monday, friends and I were out taking advantage of the last of the decent weather we are going to see for while. Although it was quite windy, (15 to 18 gusting to 25) it was actually pretty fun. My friend Chris decided to do a little "Wind Sailing".... So of course we all followed...

Tail Wheel Steering, Springs vs Fuel Tubing or other setups

So guys, I have a real nemesis that annoys the crap outta me, so I am looking for input. Here's the deal. On all my more recent gassers, I've been setting the tail wheel steering up with the springs that are usually supplied with the kit/arf. Some work...uh...ok I suppose. Others work like...

    GP Evo 176

Ok...lets get GSN rockin' again. Everything seems to be working out pretty good. Too bad the other guys had to jump ship in the middle of the updates. Oh well.  After exhaustive and extensive searching, thinking and re-thinking just exactly what I wanted up front of the Sukhoi...I think I...

    Flight Pack Opinions

Not sure if this is the correct place to start a thread on this topic. I would like to know the opinions of everyone regarding receiver flight pack preferences. I've been considering doing things a little different than before and though I absolutely hate Li-po batteries, I really can't...

What size fuel tubing are you guys using for your larger twins? Talking 150cc or larger.... Such as 3W, DA, DLE, GP etc.? I did not use 1/8 on my 260 with the 157CS. I went the next size up. Is this over kill?

    Carnage

Got to thinking....I haven't seen any threads on crashes. I love seeing the planes in the air and all the really cool stuff everyone is doing. But I also like to see a little carnage too. So lets see 'em guys. Your "Oops's", "Uh-oh's", "dumb-thumbs", "radio failures", "Mid-airs"...let's see them...

    DLE 170 Exhaust Help

Calling all DLE 170 owners. My friend has a DLE 170 on his 38% Great Planes Extra. Incredibly deafening. Bleeding ears to say the least. This plane does not have the availability for cans as there is no tunnel. ???? Not sure why GP did that, but it is what it is. Any of you used the silencers...

    Giant Scale Success

I just finished charging the flight packs on my SD Extra 260 and was quite pleased with the results. Of course I got to thinking, (as I usually do) and began wondering. (I know, scary) Have I been really lucky, have I been really blessed by the Giant Scale Watchers from above, Have I found a...
