3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

Because the first year it moved to Youngstown...it was amazing. A TON of pilots and the most pilots we've ever had at an event. Last year saw quite a few less pilots...and a lot of people did not like how the King 50 was run. (we still had a great time, though) This year, with the King 50...

    EF 48" Laser EXP

And....like I said...I liked them both for different reasons. (after I explained the differences I experienced)

    EF 48" Laser EXP

The mxs is definitely more violent. It tumbles like crazy. The laser is more smooth..does not get as many rotations in a tumbles. I think it depends on how you like to fly...it's not really fair to say one is better then the other. I liked them both for different reasons.

Please don't take what I've said as putting you down at all...Ideas are great and it's always cool to think outside of the box. I was just trying to help you save some time and money. There is a lot of planning that goes into the power systems that Extreme Flight suggests for their models. The...

It's not a calculator, just some formulas. All you do is Amps * Volts = Watts Say you have 14S...you just multiply an average voltage under load (I used 3.8) by 14 to get total volts and just divide your watts by that result. Example: 14 * 3.8 = 53.2 7000 / 53.2 = ~131A Now, remember, you're...

Also, that motor is 353g heavier then the torque 500. You'd have a hard time getting a good CG as well. You'd also probably blow the HV120 since 10000 watts on 12S would be around 219A! (that with using 3.8V per cell...that 219 could go down a bit if you used really nice packs) Cool idea...

Have fun with that. I'd love to see what ESC you'd use. You looking to use 14S 2200? You'd have about 42 seconds of battery! :D

    74" Edge 540

The key thing to know in this situation is that you don't want the pushrod to be PAST 90 degrees to the hingeline at either direction of full deflection. It is totally cool for the pushrod to be at that angle when the surface is centered. <BONUS...but not critical> The other thing to note is...

    74" Edge 540

About the wing tube, I just clean them with alcohol and use silicone spray lubricant. They are sometimes a little tight when new and with lubricant will eventually work-in and be just fine.

I do think kdunlap has a point here. It's joked about how many people think they're going out of business all the time....but the truth is that new users come on here and read stuff and really have no reason to think it's a joke. And then bragging about fooling another sucker? I don't think...
