    Viton tubing

I agree with that but Tygon works just fine outside of the tank. I think I bought either 5 or 10 ft of Viton 2 years ago and still have a bunch left as I use it for smoke connection to the muffler and for clunk lines. That 40 bucks per plane would add up to about 400-500 bucks for me if I were...

    Cut Tape for Vinyl

I figured you were going to pop up and say "it sucks, don't do it". I might get some too to test out.

    Cut Tape for Vinyl

Has anybody used this stuff for covering? Cut tape popped up in my amazon suggested products and I googled it up and found this video. Seems like it might work for covering. Just curious if anybody has already been a guinea pig and tried it. (And yes I know razor blades and patterns work...

    Sport Restoring The Laser

If you have a 1:1 ratio you will get whatever the servo is rated for. Meaning if the distance from hinge line to hole on control horn matches length of servo arm then torque of the servo will be the torque applied to the surface. At least that's the way I understand it :). Of course the angle...

    RC Airplane Memes

Somebody had some tie wire and we made a loop big enough to go around the elevator and used a fishing weight to keep the wire hanging down straight. The quad pilot and aircraft recovery engineers were inspired with liquid knowledge.

    Real Flight 7.5...

Has anyone had to have their remote repaired? Mine magically ended up on the floor from the shelf on my computer desk while I was offshore the last time and now its dead. I'm thinking something came loose when it hit the floor. Just curious if anybody has had one repaired. I think the roomba...

    Oil debate

To me it looks like the redline keeps the engine cleaner (not the plane lol). I switched from stihl to redline earlier this year. I have pictures from one of my 120's of the cylinders with aproximately 20 gallons of strictly using stihl hp. I have another 120 that was completely rebuilt (new...

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

No...that there is somebody rounded off and didn't keep enough significant digits in their calculations. Looks like they also forgot a (-) somewhere and went down instead of up. Jeeze....I hope when I do eventually dumb thumb one in it looks like that when its over with so I don't even have to...

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

That looks like more for magnetic fields. You have to take into account the gonkulator phase shift angle when applying it to baffling.

    DA-70

Nice. I was planning to close off the front of the cowl and baffle as well. I was going to just use some light ply and paint it but that cover looks nice, did you make that or buy it? I was going to do something like this from my yak in the avatar.

    DA-70

Is anybody using a da 70 on a 3dhs yak 55? Im putting one of those together thats been hanging out in my attic for the past year and have everything but engine and servo arms. Im hoping to catch a black friday sale somewhere and pick one of these up. Just curious if anybody knew what was...

    PAU Owners Thread

Can somebody please measure the length of the aileron and elevator push rods (total length including ball links) for one of the 100cc edges? I'm away from my planes at the moment and need to order some hangar 9 replacements along with new ball links.

Thoughts on MKS HV777 and Savox SV-1270TG

Little bit of a delayed response if you haven't figured this out already. The 777's use a futaba spline, the x8 series use a larger spline that mks sells. The x6 series 599's are spec'd very close to the x8 380's but have a futaba spline if you're looking for brushless and want to use standard...

    PAU Owners Thread

I think they changed the reeds to add reinforcement and changed the front carb cover a little. Some older updates are what appears to be a different type gasket for the jugs and a different material for the bolts on the jugs (can't remember the specifics)...thats all I know of.
