Awesome idea guys! I've had the pleasure of @pawnshopmike 's company at the field a few times. I think he even helped me retrieve a pile of broken helicopter parts a few years ago.:oblong:

That's the fun part isn't it, if your idea of fun is wondering if you just ruined many hours of work.;) It looks nice, I'm glad I did it on my Hangar 9 Extra. It's amazing how good a job a razor saw does it on. I was able to cut mine without any paint damage at all. I did use a brand new Zona...

I have 35 and 30% airplanes, but last night I did a little work on a 100% scale airplane. I epoxy primered some stab and rudder caps for a friends RV12.

You are WAY tougher than I my friend. Winter flying for me when it's below 45 is to turn on computer, start RealFlight, sit in my recliner, turn on my TV that the computer is hooked to, put on my headphones, start the Ipod, and fly in comfort.;)

I found that fix on another site and figured I'd give it a try. I had ordered a new stock style metering cover from a local place that deals in Walbro stuff. They thought they could get it in a few days, but it turned out to be backordered. I could have ordered one from DA, since they usually...

We had an great day at the field today, the weather guessers were right for a change! The new landing gear, and wheels were great, and the carb mod I made on the DA120 seems to work, because the motor ran flawlessly. The surge appears to be gone.

The forecast for today is excellent considering it's almost December. Sunny, 61, with light winds. I finally get to test out my new landing gear and carb mods I made to my Hangar 9 Extra 300X. My buddy Tony is bringing his big Carf Sukhoi with the DA200, so it should be a fun day.

The most fun are the bolts they use in the auto industry now days. Tighten it to 50 ft pounds then turn it another 38 degrees and crap like that. One time stretch head bolts.:msn_slap: I do torque my prop bolts now. I was shocked at how tight 90 inch pounds was. I was never anywhere close to...

No work in the shop tonight, but I did spend so money. I figured I'd do my part to keep Tanner employed by buying some Hitec servos, and a new Hitec charger.;) I wanted a small charger to take to the field to charge receiver batteries instead of my big PowerLab setup. The PowerLab is awesome...

We're supposed to have a nice day here Sunday. I'm planning on taking my Hangar 9 Extra out. It hasn't been out since the end of August. It was very warm today, in the low 70's, but windy. Sunday they're saying 60 degrees with the wind around 7mph. Fingers crossed.

I would, but the whole idea of this one is to take it to the field on the days when I'm flying an EDF jet, or a helicopter. I will build another for glow some day as much as I hate the thought of cleaning one.;) Probably an EU-1A or a Phoenix 8.

I haven't had it out since I got it back together, but I'm hoping to do so either Friday or Sunday weather permitting. It's not too bad on landing, as a matter of fact I have to be careful not to get it too slow.

    Happy Thanksgiving

I just finished wrestling a 22 pounder into the roasting pan and into the oven. He put up a pretty good fight for a dead bird.;)
