    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

I flew the Extra again today, and the thrust is about right now with the added shim for right thrust. It's running and flying good now, but it still has some surge in the midrange, but not bad. Unfortunately I uncovered another problem today, I think the Chinese aluminum that the gear is made...

Awesome! Glad to here to went well! I got some stick time on my buddy Tony's big Comp ARF Sukhoi today. Wow! What an airplane! I hadn't flown it in a few years, but it's never flown as good as it does now. The only things I've flown with power as smooth as that DA200 were electric. Tony is glad...

One word of warning, don't sand "metallic" colored true "basecoats" before you clear. It can go horribly wrong in a hurry. If you do have to sand, mist another coat of base over it before you clear.

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I'd kill for 100 flights in a year. I just looked it up, this year I have a total of 17 between 3 airplanes.:( No wonder I've been so crabby.

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I made a tool with an aluminum tube, some foam, and some stick-it sandpaper, and sanded the inside of the sockets. Just knocking the high spots and rough edges off does a world of good.

Why all this work? The world is coming to an end today with the Eclipse isn't it? You would think it is around here.;)

Hopefully it will run as silky smooth as my buddies 200 did today. It's been so long since we ran it I'd forgotten just how nice those four cylinders could be.:)

It worked out pretty well. I don't think it's perfect, but it's close enough for my use. I can climb and point roll and things without the plane heading off to it's left. ;)

Glad you got out and had some fun! I got out today too! Tony finally got to fly his big Carf Su-31. He said it flies better than ever and he really likes the added smoothness with the Demon Cortex. The field was pretty empty today because it was hot and the humidity this morning was...

The Blazing Star mount I bought from Extreme Flight for the 120 came with two Delrin spacers in case you needed a little extra length. According to their site one should be 3mm and one 2mm. Mine were both the same at 2mm I believe. To make them I secured then to a piece of flat wood with the...
