    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

I'm really interested in trying one. I met Sean McMurtry once and that was all he would run. For me, I'm interested in the redundancy of 2 ignitions and I've heard good things about how well they run over a single ignition motor. Part of it is also because FlyinRazrback was always saying...

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

Hey Joe, have you ever thought of trying one of the 3W twin spark motors?

    Engine Bogs in High Alpha

I'm just glad I got it working right. I never would've thought to check the diaphragm spring without posting about it. I was almost to the point that I was going to sell it and probably go electric.

    Engine Bogs in High Alpha

So while I was looking up the part number for a replacement diaphragm spring, I noticed that they looked nothing like what I had in my carb (I.E. they were shorter). I called a local outdoor equipment dealer and asked about a Walbro diaphragm spring and they said they had it. I told them it...

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

I'm going to see where the Futaba RX's go before I decide what to do on my Dalton. I may just go dual receiver or I may go Smart Fly Power Expander. Now that you don't need 14 servos for a 150/170/200 cc plane, you can do without a power distribution unit as long as you go with dual receivers...

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

Servos have come a long way from the days of the 5945MG's. I have 5, 6, maybe 7 around. They don't have enough torque for todays 50cc and even 30cc planes.

    Thinking of Going to Jeti

I've been flying Futaba for the past 3 years and I'm thinking of making a switch. I'm currently using a 14SG and it's a great radio. I'm interested in some of the extra features of the Jeti though. The other issue is that I'm also a thumber for the most part and I don't use a strap. So I'd...

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

I haven't used anything else on my big planes since 2005!

    Engine Bogs in High Alpha

@49dimes I gently stretched the spring under the diaphragm. I read about this on another post and they said to hit it with a heat gun so I did and then cleaned it with denatured alcohol. And when I say I stretched it, I just did enough to notice so I hope it's OK. I might have to see if I can...

    IMAC Build: Dalton Extra 300

I got the 2nd skin done last night. I literally used the one for the right side as a template. Gotta get it off of the bench tonight so I can put my EF Edge up there and wrench on the motor though.

    IMAC Build: Dalton Extra 300

Ok, work has been killing me and I've been on the road a lot. But I'm trying to get back to work on the Dalton 300. I went flying yesterday and decided to make one of the skins for the rudder/vertical fin. I am hoping to get the second one together tonight or at least start on it. My goal is...

    Engine Bogs in High Alpha

I played with the needles yesterday and the motor sounds great for the most part and is still having problems in high alpha. I did notice on the last flight yesterday that it sounds like it's being starved for fuel occasionally for just a second even in straight and level. So I'm going to pull...

Those Votec's you did back in the day were sick. I still dream about owning one of those.

    Large Smooth Pipe Diameter?

No worries Dave, I got 2 Large Pipes already and I'm going to work on building a pipe tunnel in my Dalton 300 when work stops being in the way.

Thoughts on MKS HV777 and Savox SV-1270TG

Well, I ordered a MKS HV777 from Amain. I had a $5 off coupon plus a $100 gift certificate that I didn't want to expire so I have 1 of the 8 I will need coming.

    New ZDZ112 B2RV / Installation into PAU Edge 540

So I will still get the power benefits of the pipes without the on/off effect?

    Da60 carb

Yes, just make sure the pulse holes still line up.

    New ZDZ112 B2RV / Installation into PAU Edge 540

Yeah, I've been in contact to see if they could provide headers. The options I'm looking at are DA150/170, 3W 170CS, and ZDZ 180. I was looking at a GP 176 EVO but after some issues I've seen, I probably won't go that route. The ZDZ is attractive because it's more or less in the middle of the...

    New ZDZ112 B2RV / Installation into PAU Edge 540

Terry, what are your thoughts on the ZDZ 112? I.E. smoothness, starting ease, tuning ease, etc? I'm considering getting the ZDZ 180 for my Dalton 300. I have some smooth pipes from PlaneBender to go on the motor.
