    IMAC Build: Dalton Extra 300

Finally got around to getting the pics from the weekend off of my phone. I had to do a lot of traveling the previous 2 days so I haven't had a chance to get out to the shop. What I'm working on is getting the plane set up for the Smooth Pipes. I first estimated where my header would be with...

    IMAC Build: Dalton Extra 300

Got my EF Edge finished up and I did a little work to the Dalton today. Didn't get as much as would have liked and I'll hopefully get the pics up tomorrow (Monday).

Skip Stewart's P3 Revolution, 60cc, Horizon Hobby, NEW!

I think MKS is also worth a look. The MKS 777 is a great servo it seems but heavier (approximately 12.5 grams). I don't think they're too heavy though for 35% and up models and OK for 50-70cc.

Skip Stewart's P3 Revolution, 60cc, Horizon Hobby, NEW!

When I was putting together my 89" Slick 3 years ago, I discovered a Futaba 9156 with a problem on the rudder so I bought a Savox 2270 to put in its place. It's been a solid servo and I'm probably going to go with Savox on my Dalton 300 if I ever finish building it.

Krill Extra 330 LX building thread

@David Cokley, maybe one day you will have one. I can't justify one right now either but maybe one day I will pull the trigger.

Skip Stewart's P3 Revolution, 60cc, Horizon Hobby, NEW!

Any reason why 190 ounce/inch torque servos wouldn't work on the ailerons of this one?

    Build: EF 88" Edge 540T

Here's a link to the Google+ album. I recently was given a new computer at work, which is also having the screen repaired because I put it in my backpack so I wouldn't drop it and then the screen was shattered somehow despite being very gentle with my backpack... So the original pics are...

    SOLD! Synergy E7

I'm going to be selling my Synergy E7. I bought this kit right before the E7SE was announced and I have some of the upgrades like the motor mounting side plates and the pushrod for the tail. Other upgrades include battery trays from 3Dheliupgrades.comwhich are nice and simple. I also have the...

One last item. I just wrapped a piece of silicon fuel tubing around the vent line to keep the header from melting it yesterday. Today I went to the hardware store and bought some of the wire clamps. I cut a small piece of plywood and glued it to the motorbox to mount the wire clamp. I just...

    Build: EF 88" Edge 540T

While running up the motor before the flight yesterday, I noticed one of the RX battery packs was not where I put it on the tray. I cinched it down a little better just so I could get the plane up and down but I didn't like pulling down on the foam rubber that much and I was afraid of...

Thanks! Now that it's flown, it's time to start thinking about graphics and other upgrades.

    Build: EF 88" Edge 540T

Well, the EF Edge has flown. The winds were starting to pick up (I.E. 15mph+ constant) so it only has the 4.5 minutes from the maiden. I had adjusted the motor timing before I flew it and I could tell it made a difference. I need to do some more tuning on the low end and adjust the throttle...

    Build: EF 88" Edge 540T

Cool, I'll throw some meters on and check it. I was thinking of maidening the Edge today but I wanted to give the glue time to fully cure. Plus when I went to the field, no one was there. I started this morning by doing a rough CG check with the batteries in where I thought they would go...

    Build: EF 88" Edge 540T

I worked on getting the cowl done today. I usually start with a rough cutout and then open it up from there. I also cut a hole to adjust the needles but my measurements were off due to the size of the cowling. It's about a 3/8" hole so I'm just going to put a piece of trim over it for now...

    Build: EF 88" Edge 540T

I worked making some mounts for the receiver and batteries and on the fuel system today. I used 1/16" lite ply with 1/8x3/8" basswood to hold the plates up a little bit so that I can put a strap underneath it. I haven't glued in the plates for the receiver batteries or the regulator because...
