    Engine Bogs in High Alpha

OK, I was actually referencing that at the field Sunday. Will give it another go and start with the low and get that steady 15-20 second idle first.

    Engine Bogs in High Alpha

Should I try setting the low richer or leaner first? Also, what's a good source on how to make the plates to go on the carb for holding the fuel tubing?

    Engine Bogs in High Alpha

I have added a nipple to the diaphragm plate and I have a line running to a pill bottle in the fuse. Not mine but same idea: Is the metering plate mod like this?

    Engine Bogs in High Alpha

I have a DA 60 on a Pro Flow can in an Extreme Flight Edge. I've noticed that the engine starts to bog when I go into high alpha. This includes upright harriers and rolling harriers. It also bogs on inverted downlines (45 degree) and when I roll upright, it returns to normal. Any ideas of...

Thoughts on MKS HV777 and Savox SV-1270TG

I'm going to start collecting servos for my Dalton 300 I'm building. I was wanting to know what people have to say about the MKS HV777 and the Savox SV-1270TG. Both are about the same power and both feature Titanium gears. So what do you prefer or have to say about either servo?

IMAC Dalton 300 ml build thread.

I actually broke my tail section and ended up getting the parts from Tony. What about sanding down the balsa sheeting, replace the broken stringers or splice in new ones to the broken ones, and then re-sheeting the fuse?

Assembly: Aeroworks QB 150cc Yak 55M

Just checked out your thread. So the fix was to put a Tilitson carb on, interesting... When I had my 3W 56, it came with a Walbro and I've always read the Tilitson's are a little harder to tune but once you get them tuned, they're the best.

Cool, you were talking about lightening it up so I didn't know if you had made the switch or not.

Is that the 3W 170CS or did you swap to a DA 170?

    Build: EF 88" Edge 540T

Sorry for the late reply as I am traveling for work. I actually make my own extensions so they are a custom length. I don't know if I measured back when I had my Slick because they were made for that. I will make some more custom ones this winter or sooner if the wind keeps blowing here.

    IMAC Build: Dalton Extra 300

Ok, had a busy day yesterday and today at work so last night you could argue that I didn't do anything to the Dalton. I was trying to figure out the best way to install the pipe mounts and I will need to have the engine and headers on to do so. So I pretty much spent about 30-45 minutes...

    DA 150L vs 170?

Anyone done any comparisons of the new DA 150L vs the 170? I'm sure the 170 is going to beat the 150L especially on an upline but I'm interested in how the two compare.

    Prop bolts....what's the consensus?

I use a torque wrench (I had one anyways) to tighten my bolts down. I begin with 84 ounce/inches and then go to 90 after I've done all the bolts. I've never replaced bolts but I will be doing it at least once or twice a year from now on to avoid bolts shearing off.
