    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I have no idea, the part number on the DA invoice is EJT35P if that helps any.

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Video is up! No music, youtube has changed the way you add music and I haven't had a chance to figure it out. Running out the door to take the kids to the pool, so that will have to wait! At least you can clearly hear the motor during the 2-3 hover pullouts that I have here...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I would love to see some video... so far I'm not thoroughly impressed with the Mejzlik 20x8 that I have on my DA-35/76" MXS. On the initial runup on the ground I was getting 7400, and after 6 flights today I am now getting 7800 rpm out of it. But pullout from a hover still leaves a bit to be...

    Sugesstions for a 60" EF 3D plane

agreed! I was thinking more of just that flying style and/or a practice plane perhaps.

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Stuck my 76" MXS on the scale tonight, empty, with no gas it weighed in at 12lb 8oz. This is a complete plane with everything but the side force generators on it. It didn't have either those or the tips on. Oh it also didn't have the landing gear cuffs, but did have wheel pants. Setup is a...

    Sugesstions for a 60" EF 3D plane

I don't know that there is a right answer for everyone in this. It depends on exactly what you want out of the plane and your flying style I think. I've owned and/or flown all 4 of these. For me they lineup like this: Edge - best for low/slow/close in 3d. Awesome harriers. MXS - loves to...

I almost ordered one of those, but wasn't sure how long the room in the new MXS was. I ordered a 24oz one from them once, and the tank was so long that it wouldn't fit into the plane! The new MXS with it's little 35cc motor should be plenty happy with the Fiji, but I'll keep the smart water...

    3DHS 70" Velox

Here is a picture of my cowl. I had to cut quite a bit to get it to fit. Sure do wish 3dhs would make the mold about 2mm larger for these cowls so that they would fit properly. I'll stick the link

Depends on the price! But I would be interested if I ever build another 50cc bird up. 24oz seems to big, and 16oz is just barely enough. I've been using the 16.9 oz Fiji bottles in the last couple 50cc birds I've had.

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Yes, jwilliamsrc on rcgroups has done this. He is an ExtremeFlight team pilot. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2211767 You can see details there, he used a DA-50 and a pipe as well. He said it flies quite well like that. I almost did it with mine, but went with a da-35 at the...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I'll have to verify the length tonight. Sounds like the 4" ones may need some trimming from what Enterprise posted. 70mm is the ideal length if the servos are in the rear position, so presumably whatever the difference in the output shaft location is when turned forward vs. backward is the...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I didn't think about turning around the servo to get better geometry and reduce cam-over possibility. Dang it, already ordered the 70mm ones. Perhaps I should have ordered 90mm... must investigate tonight and see if I need to make yet another order. Good idea Enterprise! Considering it's what...

mine too! I spent a good 10 minutes looking for the aileron horns to glue in before I realized the bag was labeled wrong. :D

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

For those interested the stock turnbuckles are 50mm (ailerons) and 60mm (elevator). I ordered a set of these: http://store.aztechaeromodels.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=344 and then moved the elevator ones to the ailerons. That gives me an extra 5mm of threads into the...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

worked on mine a bit more last night, had a few things to share. First, the DA-35's included standoffs are the perfect length to get the distance specified in the manual of 6 3/8". So that was nice. As for mounting a DA-35, I got my motor in last night, and found that the hole pattern to mount...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I like the way the wheel pants mount. They don't pinch like in other EF models, where you tighten the axel bolt to clamp in on. Instead there is a blind nut, you get them set, mark the spot, drill with a 5/32" bit, press in the blind nut and mount the pant on the plane. Similar to the mod that...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Got my yellow gas version one in on thursday of last week. Some of this info is cross posted to rcgroups, so for those of you that post over there also, sorry for the duplicate! But for those that don't, here are some pics and info from my kit. First I'll start off with some basic weights...

    3DHS 70" Velox

    Curious about that RCGF 26cc motor... I have a buddy planning for a gas Velox. His research yielded the following: DLE 20: 29 oz, 2.5 hp, $250 DLE 20RA: 30 oz, 2.5hp? $285 OS GT 22: 36oz 2.66hp $350 DLE 30: 38oz 3.7hp...

    3DHS 70" Velox

Sounds like a winner to me. Never used those servos, but everything else should be great from what I've seen. Specs on the d771's look like plenty of power.
