Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

No need to apologize David. It's not out of the realm of possibilities on my end. If you had a Phoenix, say 6, 7, or 8, or a Tipo you wanted done, I might even be more inclined.;)

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

This is the same post as I made in the I'm going flying thread in case you've already seen it. Well after more than 3 1/2 years since the day I glued the first pieces together, my scratch build project "Miss Moana" flew today!!! When I got to the field this morning the wind was barely...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I read a good thread on this on the other site and one of the posters was a rubber engineer. Basically he said real 60A Durometer Viton should last a very long time. He said that leaving fuel in the tank will mess with the chemicals in any rubber and eventually deteriorate it, even Viton. He...

Well after more than 3 1/2 years since the day I glued the first pieces together, my scratch build project "Miss Moana" flew today!!! When I got to the field this morning the wind was barely blowing. I assembled the airplane and the second I hit the switch on the fuel pump to fill the tank the...

There are different levels of hardness for Viton. Do you know what yours was, or where it came from? The stuff I buy from PSP is VERY soft and flexible, and has not been a problem, and I use barbs on all my stuff. A Durometer rating of 60A is soft and flexible, when that number goes up it gets...

And the cost was buy him lunch sometime. And he even threw in half a gallon of RedLine. Can't beat that price. Of course he's about to...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I saw @pawnshopmike at our field today for our Electric Fly In. The wind forecast was for around 8 or so, well at 10:30 this morning our weather station said 23mph. I think they missed that one by a bit. Not a great day for foamies.

Help! 33% Pilot Yak 54 CG?

Yeah the 33% was for an 85cc. I didn't realize Pilot made one, I knew Aeroworks did.

Help! 33% Pilot Yak 54 CG?

There should be a CG inside the airplane, if not here is the link for the Pilots generic instructions that have CG's listed for various models. http://pilot-rc.com/Upload/201402190642.pdf Should be 183mm from the leading edge for the 87" and 225mm for the 107" if I'm reading it correctly...
